Man that front suspension is frigged up. Death wobble every time. That's dangerous
Tom Dalton that’s normal I have one as well and we do near wheelstands lol check it out search thatchevyluv on yt
Looks like the Kid's got a handle on it , give him a license. Drives better than alot of so called Experienced Drivers. Luv your videos , keep em coming !!
Badass truck and runs strong but definitely get that front end riggt
Runs look fast I’d love to see the time slip. Looking great and good luck may you have many WINS😋😋
Love it! I had a 79 Luv, same color in college back in the 80's. Dale Swineheart, DeKalb, IL
smooth “chevy lov” i have a friend of mine has one he’s running 4.5’s in the 8th mile gotta keep your front end on the ground keep up the good work
Cool truck. Better figure out what's wrong with that front suspension before it's a problem.
Zues Toots
Except that yeah, the front suspension needs some work on this truck...
Near future should be a rack and pinion and some solid front end parts and turn it up!!!!
The interior setup is sweet! Especially the dash layout!
Badass!!! I need to get my luv going. Thinking turbo k20 Honda/ power glide
Love the v8 mini trucks. I had built one back in the early 90's.
81 D-50 with an x head 340, 10:1 comp. 727
It surely hated the 3.54:1 rear gears.
My next project is looking something like a supercharged 4.7L AWD jeep liberty.
Hey I have two luv trucks 1 ? did you ever raced on the pad in New Orleans
Awsum work young man, get that bump steer corrected in the frontend before it causes you a wreck. Defenitely look at tack and pinion and tie rod geometry. Plenty of vids on here about it.
He needs a steering dampener or a rack conversion, to fix that death wobble in the front
Fuck the suspension. Send it!
I LUV that truck!
I need to build myself another Luv.
you need radius arm bushings to fix that death wobble or put heim joint ends instead of the bushing
Zues Toots it's not normal for the steer tires to look like they are gonna fall off. It is an issue, no matter how many times you tell people that it's not.
Zues Toots im a auto shop owner and ASE certified tech far from that assumption bud
@@zuestoots5176 only someone who knows drag racing can spot bumpsteer. They probably heard the term but never seen it.
Hola amigo yo tengo una chevi luv como le puede a ser para los emblemas
Sweet
Nice
No times?
Y'all realize these are 6lug factory. Whatever the 5lug swap on the front is could be better. I have a 76 and an 81. Can't exactly locally source stuff for them. If the kid an his family see this or you know them. Aerospace Components in I think St. Pete FL. Could have some things you need
It's a truck brains!!!!
That front suspension needs some WORK!! get that sorted and itll be a lot safer and drive a lot better
That's nice
This guy will never have the money for a drug addiction.
Nice car
That thing needs some work it's crooked going down the track
He needs some removable bars for that truck he would be a lot faster
A "full 1/8 mile hit" is still half track. lol
I looked, but didn't see any footage of your full-scale build. Can you post videos, or are you just an internet critic?
That thing ran through 3 gears, I'm assuming it's set up for 1/8-mile racing, as many folks' rigs are. Some people want to race something fast without trapping ludicrous speeds, and a hell of a lot of folks only have local access to 1/8-mile strips. Nothing wrong with it, variety's the spice of life.
@@chrishamilton2559 Not criticizing the truck. It's fast. Clearly the front suspension is a little sketchy. I came up on 1/4 mile racing, so 1/8 mile always seems weird to me.
@@jayinmi3706 if you're as old as I am, then you remember the days when 500 hp was good. These days your stock station wagon would make mince meat of thise old race cars.
That truck, death wobble and all was probably trapping in the 120's, would you really want to double the distance? Race cars are so fast these days that a full 1320 ft is approaching something like the legal definition of insanity.
More and more people are running 1/8 for grudge racing and no prep. I grew up doin 1/4 mile on the west coast. I moved to the east this year and it’s all 1/8. Hard to get use to.
Looks like they are going down hill.
Optical illusion as the shut off area is uphill. The actual 1/4 mile is perfectly flat and level.
Byron's a weird-looking track, I don't think it's downhill, though (unless it's at elevation), because people seem to run times there that are fairly consistent with what they run elsewhere.
DEATH TRAP
👍bowtie
I'm 32 yrs old, been racing since I could straddle a bike or reach the pedals and this is a true YOUNG GUN! Get your truck right little brother and I expect to see this lil Luv throwing down again. Drag Week watch out! And BTW, cool truck to watch doing work on Valentine's Day. I LUV it.
