Silas was an immortal when he had his psychic abilities and he wasn’t able to do that stuff anymore when he became a witch. While he was psychic he had compulsion powers but he never did that again after reverting back.

Also the fact that Hope was born to an Original Hybrid father, makes her magic tainted with black magic and thus gives her immunity to the effects of it. And lastly Dark Josie faced off no-humanity Tribrid Hope and lost, she even admitted “you’re basically an original now, and even I don’t have that kind of power”. Hope is stronger than Josie in almost every way possible.
