Why cannot some people accept this master piece of an ending? She saved her abuser and his family. She ran away to her freedom with the only person who stood by her through thick and thin. It is true friends riding off to freedom. They don’t deserve the complicated palace life. Absolutely love the ending. She can become a great doctor and find a true husband who loves her for who she is and who will take care of her as she deserves.

But she's sick of the strife and suffering that comes with palace life. So she's taking her maid with her to live a life that she wants. She tells him not to miss her and she believes he will do just fine without her.
The fact that the prince just casually choke her, hurt her, insult her are all red flags and does not deserve a second chance. Good ending.

I don’t think words can describe how much I loved this ending. It’s not perfect but a lot better than most I’ve seen. Usually the arrogant ML who abused the FL just says ‘sorry my bad’. Then the FL forgives him so easily it’a painful to watch. I’ve spared myself a migraine this time around.
Like he freaking tortured the FL for more than 70 episodes..then his redemption arc will only be 10 episode..plus happy ending and he'll fl forgiveness 💀💀💀 that's so cheap

I actually saw a ML do this in another drama… it was diabolical. He ain’t shvt and I hope he never finds her again. Skylar is such a brave woman. I admire her character a lot. She's so smart and a true friend to Sophie. She did the right decision in the end, choosing freedom is always the best and away from chaos. My first time to watch a Chinese drama and I really love it
I love she respects herself. She remembers all the insults: rape(her original host), beating , verbal and physical abuse, lying, insulting her, making her maid loose virginity over the rumours and sick twisted jealousy, leaving her as a last person to care about.
She waited to ripe her Victory and leave his sorry butt. She proved she is an excellent doctor, a loyal friend, a sensible ally, hell- she even protected his life and secured his position when he lied there dying.
She showed her worth to anyone who wanted to see.
And really his realisation on his feeeeellllinnngs is cringeworthy. Because he treated those who claimed he loves( Ruth) also like a crap, refusing intimacy and seeing people how they really are.
Good he is not a king, he is not worthy of this as he was fooled by a woman for so long, blind when Ruth deceived him And even defrauded his money. Narrow minded and self righteous. Deserve to be left alone.

I was watching with jaded eyes, expecting to give a thumbs down at the end when she forgives all the times he insulted, throttled, ra*ed, tortured her, just because he acted as a human shield once. But she turned out to be brave and wise, going far away with the only person who is loyal to her. 👌👌 love it!!

Well, I have to say this ending and the way the story was developed was realistic. FL may have inherited the original girl's body, memories and heartache, but she didn't inherit her feelings for the ML. Throughout the whole show, both ML and FL had no feelings for each other. FL actions and choices when it came to his household and family were honourable and based on what is the right thing to do but there was no love. Emotionally, she was quite an outsider in all of this. So it made alot of sense that she chose to just up and leave at the end. There was nothing really anything to go back to as far as she was concerned, it wasn't exactly her who married the ML, and this wasn't exactly her life. She left because she helped avert/resolved the crisis she found herself dragged into, so the project is completed, time to leave.
Right but still it got me somewhat heartbroken for them 😭😂

The story is the best drama shorts I’ve seen. The plot is coherent. There’s actually progression and it’s interesting. It isn’t just 2 hours of accusations and amnesia. The main character is ruthless, truly embracing a dog-eat-dog world. On top of that, she didn’t take shit from no one, saved everyone even when they abused her, and then rode off into the sunset with her best friend? Fucking hell yeah.
As far as I know the story with a good beginning end...FL is so brave & awesome in this story. Skylar & Sophie eloped for their new happy beginning.

I love the ending! The ML had no redeeming qualities or actions. He saved her after hurting her multiple times and she’s saved his life from the king and his mansion from his concubine. The only improvement to the ending would be for her to move to the enemy country and fall in love with their emperor / general who truly appreciates her intelligence and talents. Oh, to see the ML be tortured like that would be amazing. However, I’m quite happy that she absconded and I hope he never found her and regretted it all his life.
