Very enjoyable. I could see listening to this album. Funny you mention, I think you did a song recently and commented that the person had requested it 3 years ago 😀
Thank you for listening to this Hedgy and for your opinion. This was one of the tricky things when recommending ‘Si Sta Come D'Autunno Sugli Alberi Le Foglie’ is an instrumental as you mention, and the other singles have the vocalist. Good to listen to both to get a better understanding of the band’s sound. Lay Of The Autumn are currently on the same music label as Extrema. Rockshots Records are an Italian label and have different bands from different countries signed. As you said Lay Of The Autumn are Italian musicians, the vocalist is Ukrainian Iryna Boyarkina and she was the vocalist with the band Mysterya and is currently creating songs/music as ERIA. The CD is now back in stock on Rockshots Records website for anyone interested. The label recently merged or took over the label ‘Extreme Metal Music’. I have other recommendations of some very different bands from Italy but I do not want to recommend too much so other people and anything you already have. Thank you and very good to hear your opinion of this. Just to mention, since you created the video of the America band QAALM I bought the CD, and thank you for bringing the band to our attention.
Cool! Some symphonic stuff on this channel. This band goes on my watchlist. Very nice. In the same ballpark, I can recommend Elettra Storm with the song Higher than the Stars (includes keytar). For something heavier, check out Dark Oath - Gold I (Dawn of Time). It's epic symphonic death metal from Portugal.
Hedgy as you said you listen to Sirenia, have you listened to Morten's earlier band Tristania? They were one of the major gothic metal albums in late 90s. I still listen to their first 3 albums especially Beyond the Veil from 1999.
Ah, yes, Tristania! Try their older stuff, such as: Beyond the Veil (the song from the similarly titled album). I think that's a quite representative song for that era.

tristania rings a bell but I certainly don't remember them.

The music sounds solid to me. I'm not blown away by the voice of the lady, I mean, it's clear and all, but I miss some depth.
Hey Hedgy, would you like some recommendations? Should I do that by e-mail or in the comment section?
Emails are more permanent than comments.
