I decorated a bit for autumn fir the first time this year. I wouldn't decorate fully as with Christmas but I enjoyed adding a few bits to my decoration and just changing a bit. I have always spoken to my son about money. He has always been aware that we need to save to buy things. I started to give him pocket money around 10. He started paying for his phone using his pocket money (sim card and I made sure pocket money allowed it). Then he started to buy his own toiletries around 15/16. Then his own clothes since he started working 4 years ago. He now gives me some money to pay for his 'rent' and he pays for whatever he wants plus his car. I think I taught him well and he is able to save and budget his salary.
I'm 51 and I am terrified of all bugs. Spiders, months, butterflies, woodlice, flies etc. Give me rats, mice, snakes, frogs etc; I love all animals, just not evil bugs. I have been talking to another TH-camr today about decorating for fall/Autumn and saying I actually feel quite bad as I do not decorate for seasons. 1) I can't be bothered 2) I live in a really large cottage (I got a bargain 're rent due to how remote it is) and it takes me 4 days to decorate my home for Christmas. I literally have to psyche myself up to start Christmas decorating. 3) The expense My son would like me to decorate and I think.I will take Claire's advice (her channel is called Mum life and more) and buy a few cheap bits and he can decorate his room or wherever he fancies. It's lovely that you have such a brilliant relationship with your dad. My father was a monster while I was growing up, now in his old age he has mellowed a bit, but I loathe the man with a passion. Thankfully my children have an amazing relationship with their dad. He was a poop husband but when we divorced he really stepped up to the mark with our kidos. Therefore it makes me smile when I hear of a girl having a brilliant relationship with their dad. Hope you and your son have a fab weekend xx
I'm not a bug fan neither is my son, my cousins love them and the rats, mice, snakes etc but I am a dog person haha. I agree, I can't be bothered with it and the expense, 4 days to decorate for Christmas seems like a big task I can see why you have to psyche yourself up but I bet it looks beautiful in a cottage once you have finished it. Yes I watch Claire's channel she is lovely, my son is not too bothered but does like to decorate for Christmas and Easter the rest I can get away with. My Dad and I didn't talk for 3 years, it has taking a lot of talking and healing but now we are in a great place but it has not been easy. I am so sorry that you had a Dad like that and it's great to hear that your sons Dad has stepped up too. My ex husband is a great Dad and I think we are better parents apart than we would have been together. Thank you for sharing this with me I really appreciate it and I hope you and your son have a great weekend too xx
Belated birthday wishes🎉 😍 I’m only just catching up today on some vlogs. I have a couple of pumpkins and some fake leaves on my TV cabinet next to tv but nothing else for Autumn decor. I taught my daughters how to budget by giving them pocket money. From the pocket money they had to save a bit by putting it in a money box then we would go to the bank and deposit it every few months. If they wanted a expensive toy, game, trainers etc,I would say you can use your money in your bank accounts. That way they know that expensive things have to be saved up for. Sometimes when I said that they said “no I don’t want it anymore. 😊
I love this idea, I have a bank account for my son which I transfer money into but I like the idea of his own account and putting money in himself. He will also know what he really wants if he needs to save for it rather than impulse buy. Thank you for sharing this it's really helpful xx
Yep im a pyjama girl, nothing more cozier than pjs, hot chocolate & blanket when it's horrid outside. Apart from xmas when I go mad with decorating for the other seasons I like to just have one or two ornaments just to show a nod to the different seasons x
Yes, I love cosy pyjamas and a hot chocolate with a cosy film on, this is why this season is my favourite season. I think I only buy seasonal candles as I love the smell xx
Hi there, spiders dont bother me whatever the size, my 35 yr old hates them, Im the unofficial spider catcher in my house lol. I decorate for Easter and Christmas only, love to see it all but its a waste of money to me, nice vlog tfs Jax ❤x
haha, I can't stand them and neither can my son. I'm like you, it's nice to also feel it is a waste of my money, would rather put that towards something like a holiday xx
Hi Rachel your doing the right thing going to vet I had a similar situation with one of my pets and sadly he had to be put to sleep was in pain and I couldn't let him go on I just have to do the right thing,oh god I have experienced the giant spiders they are terrifying managed to get it out ,enjoyed your vlog❤❤❤❤hope U are ok at vets thinking of you
Thank you, every time we take him back to the vet he perks up again but when we get him home he doesn't seem himself. We have always had dogs and like you cannot see them in pain when there is nothing else we can do. We are taking it day by day and see how he goes. I hate giant spiders too, thank you so much for your kind words and for watching xx
