How to Get Maya Tool Popup Windows Back - Without Deleting Your Entire Prefs Folder.
Ok, I have been living with this issue of my popup windows not showing up in Maya for several weeks now, and finally looked into why it is happening. Or at least found a solution. The problem has something to do with my multiple monitors. Maya remembers things. Where you put your pop up windows, for example, and then when you turn on and off monitors, the preferences can get all wonky because it doesn't have your "preferred" monitor to put the pop up on.
So, at least for me, the issue was that when I had my drawing tablet turned on, the Maya popup windows wouldn't even show up. Som this is a trick to fix your tool option windows in Maya without resetting or deleting your entire "prefs" folder.
