@@PeteJohnsMusic so... when you reupload with the same isrc too does it delete/change your old single's art if you leave it? And what would you do to upload an "album version" or "remastered" or something? Not use the old isrc?

I know you created this video a while ago but I was wondering if we even need to put in the "credits" information for the tracks that we already released as singles. Will the ISRC code automatically use the same songwriter info as previously placed?
Does it automatically remove the singles when it realises you have duped it as an EP, or do you then do that manually? Big thing here is to keep hold of the play counts
Nope. It generally treats as a separate release. Play counts might be separate for the single and album version it that doesn’t affect much. studiolivetoday.com/distrokid

Hey there. So yes, you can just release each as a single and then release all the singles as a single album once they’re all out. You can’t slowly “build” an album track by track though as you’d need to remove and re-release the album every time. studiolivetoday.com/distrokid

My goal is to make sure I pitch them all since releasing all the songs at the same time wont pitch all the song from the album. Do you think this is a good idea? Anyways thank you for this helpful video!
Yup. You can release individual singles and then release all the singles as an EP at the end, or at the he same time as the 6th single, so 7 releases all together.
How do you make it pop up as a ep on all platforms tho instead of the album section like on spotify there is a album section the a ep and single section I want to ensure my ep pops up in the ep and single section rather than the album...
Thanks again Pete for this helpful video. Do you if, when you put singles into an album, the count on the number of streams for the songs continue or re start at zero? Thanks in advance!

Would love To know of others experience when it comes down to streaming countability; like for example your single A got 10.000 plays, will those count and appear on the exact song a but within album/ep??
Hey man, thanks so much for all the info, I have a question. On tunecore it ask if each song has been loaded before. Some of them have, as singles. However even though Single has now been remastered for the album. My question is, if I click “yes they haven been loaded before” will it replace the single versions with my new mastered and edited ones? I’m afraid my album will have the versions thats already loaded as singles.
It gets a little complex with this stuff. In short of its a new version of the song (remastered, remixed) then it counts as a new song and therefore not released before.
@@PeteJohnsMusic does the streams stay with the old version or when you click on my profile will it have the new version with the old streams? Thank you so much for that quick response.
Hi Pete, Thanks for the helpful video! I have one question though. I tried to see if someone already asked the same question in the comments, but I don't think someone has. At 11:16 you are at the 'Extra's' part. I was wondering if you know that if you already chose 'TH-cam Money' and 'Shazam' when you released the songs as singles, if you have to select this again when you release the songs as an EP? Hopefully you or someone else can help me with this!
Hey there. So, the two versions are treated completely separately so you can choose to add extras to the EP or album version. However, for TH-cam Content ID, if the song is exactly the same as the single version then it won’t need it added again.
Hi Pete! Quick question if you don’t mind? If I paid for things like TH-cam Content ID etc and then want to bring the songs together as an album, would I have to pay again for the same things on the album upload?
Hey there. For some things yes but Content ID remains covered for the singles so you don’t need it again on an album version of the same song. studiolivetoday.com/distrokid
Yes, I believe you'd need the Musician Plus to align with the ISRC. You can however still release singles from an album, or albums of single just without the ISRC.
Hey Pete! Is it possible for me, when reuploading the audio files, to instead select a different audio file, for example, a louder more proffesional version? and will i maintain the same amount of streams? Thanks.
For context, I plan to upload a 5 song EP, 4 of them are singles and the fifth will be release in the EP. I want to delete the single vesions of the other songs so I maintain the same artwork for all my songs.
@@qwertyswars I haven't tried doing it yet. But I will let you know. If you are using distrokid, try and see if it will give you that option. Or perhaps you can upload an experimental track and see if you can change the audio file. Best of luck.
now here's a deep question for you! I uploaded some songs accidentally as mp3 files to distro! If I upload them in WAV format and link them to the right ISRC #, will Distro get confused since they are different file types when trying to link them?
@@PeteJohnsMusic so maybe I should keep the files the same and have some mp3 and some Wav for consistency sake and just not make the same mistake next time
Hello Pete! thank you so much for this video! quick question, can I release a single on Friday (the third single of the upcoming album) and the album on the following Monday? or do albums have to released on Mondays, as well? thank you so much!

Yeh this is a very important question!
How can I re release a single originally released as a collaboration single with another artist and upload to my album as a solo artist?
Same approach. Remove the original single. Wait at least a few days. Re-release.
@@PeteJohnsMusic that’s a bummer. Thanks for the reply
thank you very much!

Great video it work perfectly! I am now going to remove the singles will this affect the auto generated videos on TH-cam?
Yes. If you remove a song it’s corresponding TH-cam automated video will also be removed.
Thanks brother

Hi Pete,
Thanks for the helpful video!
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks a lot!
I don't have the option to add the old isrc code, what do I do?
Yeah I should have mentioned that this is on the Musician Plus plan only.
Hi Pete, I tried uploading my 6 singles as an album but apparently I have to upgrade in order to specify my ISRC code. Is that true?
Yes, I believe you'd need the Musician Plus to align with the ISRC. You can however still release singles from an album, or albums of single just without the ISRC.
Thx you this is what i want i subscribe
Thank you my friend.
@ you Welcom bro
Hey there. My advice is to only re-upload if you really need to. Check out more info here. studiolivetoday.com/distrokid
@@reubencilliers im tryna do the same thing.. what did you end up doing?
@@qwertyswars I haven't tried doing it yet. But I will let you know. If you are using distrokid, try and see if it will give you that option. Or perhaps you can upload an experimental track and see if you can change the audio file. Best of luck.
Do you think it's a good idea to release 6 singles then bundle them up into an album with a couple extra songs for an 8 track album?
Yep. Really no down side to having more songs released in more ways.
@@PeteJohnsMusic will this reset the stream count on the original singles?
@@piersonbooth thats what im asking about to :)
Doesn’t really matter. Most of the time it will be tracked separately.
now here's a deep question for you! I uploaded some songs accidentally as mp3 files to distro! If I upload them in WAV format and link them to the right ISRC #, will Distro get confused since they are different file types when trying to link them?
You’ll need to remove the original songs first. It won’t let you re-release using the same ISRC. Http://studiolivetoday.com/distrokid
@@PeteJohnsMusic so maybe I should keep the files the same and have some mp3 and some Wav for consistency sake and just not make the same mistake next time
Hey I have a question if I'm doing a duet, we both have to have our own profile so I can mention his artist name? Thank you!
You can list them in the credits with no account but to share revenue you will both need an account.
@@PeteJohnsMusic he has one how do add him?
Great ....thanks...doing this now!
Noice.

Hello Pete! thank you so much for this video!
quick question, can I release a single on Friday (the third single of the upcoming album) and the album on the following Monday? or do albums have to released on Mondays, as well? thank you so much!
Hey there. You should be able to release on any day you like, provided you have the Musician Plus plan and go e it enough time. Albums and singles are treated as separate releases. studiolivetoday.com/distrokid
@@PeteJohnsMusic thank you so much!
thank you!!!

but what if i do not want to RE release them? I want to group them there and have them no more as singles. That is so clustered
Just set up a new EP or album with all the singles you want. Can even download them if you need to form DistroKid directly. studiolivetoday.com/distrokid
Hey Pete!
I have the Musician plan, and I can't change the ISRC code to what it was when I relased it. Do you think it could work if I don't put the code there?
Yeah it should be fine. It just perhaps won’t align with the original release. It as long as the first one is R.E.M. led you’ll be fine. studiolivetoday.com/distrokid
