Mae Hong Son Loop / Day One

Day One Chiang Mai to Pai, 131km. Welcome to my 4 part video series of the Mae Hong Son Loop world famous motorcycle ride. This ride is well known to motorcycle enthusiasts and is a bucket list item for many. The Loop winds it way through the mountains of Northern Thailand and consists of 1864 curves, twists, hairpins and everything in between. It will challenge your skills and endurance and test your mettle and leave you at the end of each day with a grin from ear to ear. This is a motorcycle riders dream destination and should be on every adventure riders list. I rode the Loop during the hot, dry smokey season which proved to be a challenge in itself with sore, burning eyes and constant cough and sore throat. Unfortunately it was the only time I could ride the Loop or would have had to wait another year.
In this video series we will explore hidden caves, ancient temples, remote Karen villages, cool cliff top cafes, street side markets and many other amazing places and towns. With my action camera mounted to my motorcycle you will feel like you are right along there with me as we lean the bike into endless curves, hear the engine roar and the wind howl past us as we race through these spectacular mountain roads.
