I was with a group of school kids at a mountain hut years ago. There was a shower cubicle on the hut veranda, you threw a black plastic bag with water in on the roof on the morning and in the afternoon it was warm enough for a shower. We came back from a walk and one of the girls, about 14 or 15 years old decided to have a shower. A few minutes later I hear screaming so raced out to see what was wrong. A kea had hopped in the shower with her and was on the floor, holding her bar of soap with one claw and tearing it to bits with its beak. They are amazing animals, and love to play.
