That hue of blue you wore Pia during your Miss Universe stint is so iconic now that a lot of people refer to that color as “Pia Wurtzbach blue”
Pia's gown for her farewell walk was iconic. everybody just wow nung lumabas sya.
I can't forget the day that Pia was crown 👑 but it was controversial. Many of the people didn't forget you until now. If we saw you Pia it's remind us the confidently beautiful. Thank you mga Queens you all deserved well.
I enjoyed this content so much! The 2014 edition of Binibing Pilipinas will always have a soft spot in my heart. Back in high school, I don't have the means yet to travel to Araneta and watch the pageant live. So when I started college in Manila, the first thing on my bucket list is to watch the coronation live. I was at the Grand Parade and the Bb. Pilipinas Fashion Show too which I almost missed because I had a class till 7pm at that time. Come finals night, the feeling was just incomparable being there at Araneta. A dream come true indeed. Since then I made a pact to watch Binibini every year as long as I can 💗
Sana more chika from your binibini days. Specially the things that you're supposed to do and not supposed to do. I also hope you can bring along some of your binibini sisters back then as guests. Can't wait! As always, it's so fun to hear your Madam stories😁😁😁
Knowing what we know now about attitudes and character ( Catriona at Binibini) I think one of the reasons she did not place in Miss International is that Bea sat as one the the judges (per Bea herself)…
It could've been Pia's Binibini Gowns to be discussed, hopefully a part 2 for this, to more Baul Stories ✨ because it's interesting! 🙌🏽
We heard stories and stories of the iconic Albert Andrada & Oliver Tolentino gowns, but we never heard any stories of her Cumbia gowns, specifically the black gown she wore.

I love this episode so much … you three are just so adorable.
Good thing the candidates now are allowed to be creative in their own way. Sobrang higpit pala dati ng BBP. Lahat ng susuotin mo pinili na nila tapos you are not allowed to choose or change anything. Siguro yun yung reason kung bakit di tayo nananalo before kasi yung candidates nahihirapan i-express yung ideas and self nila.

11:17 is one of the reasons why I am happy that there is now a separate Miss Universe Philippines franchise. So thankful for Pia and her team for fighting what her, as a queen, deserves.
its ok kahit gastos ng candidates sa muph basta sila pumili
2016 to 2019 though the girls had their call on the gowns that they use. so same na rin sa MUPH. but the legacy and prestige will never be the same
@@marcsobhrajani9076 I agree with BPCI's legacy, however I cannot agree with prestige. Their top crown's last pageant was in 2019, MGI is just bullshit, while the other two crowns were so unpopular, national pageant of other nations were more famous than those pageants. Also, BPCI has never improved their stage and camera works despite the constructive criticisms it gets every year. I, in my personal opinion, thinks that MUP is the most prestige pageant in the Philippines.
MUPh is what it is because of the care that binibini brought to the brand.
@@myo1817 but it was the people behind the ladies who really played huge part on the success of BBP, the same people who are now part of MUP Org.

I think yung final gown ni Bianca sa Miss International is the very same gown na sinuot ni Charlene Gonzales sa finals ng Miss Universe.

Bianca failed to mention na ung gown na pinagamit sa kanya was the evening gown of charlene gonzales in miss universe 1994 (exactly 20 yrs ago na pala since she was joining miss international 2014). Kaso halatang luma na nung na kay bianca na. 😑
Ung natcos ni bianca parang kung anu ano lang na mixed matched. 😑

I was at Planet Hollywood that time lining up to see thee rehearsal. Madam was behind me. I heard Jonas calling Madam and said that the gown fits perfectly for Pia and Madam just smiled. I hugged Albert - he was seated close to my seat - after your evening gown to thank him coz Pia looked divine. I had lot of photos of Pia at Planet Hollywood before she became MU. You were so gracious to me even u dont know me. ❤

11:02 Catriona paved the way to form your own team. Kasi nga naman, why not? I never understood why contestants weren’t allowed to choose their designer, their gown style, gown color, accessories, etc. The contestant should feel confident and happy with the decisions that shape her journey in a pageant. She should be able to be a part in calling the shots kasi she’s the one na sasabak sa laban. Women empowerment nga di ba? So take the front seat. A true queen decides and takes action for herself. She will listen to advices. But the final say is hers.
Pia’s win was a surprise win. She was hardworking. Luck also lined up the stars for her. God bless Pia for bringing back the crown to the Philippines after many decades.
Catriona, on the other hand, was a story of successful and purposeful precision. Cat’s win was a sure win because she involved in every aspect of her pageant journey. She was the captain of her ship that led the Philippines to another victory.
Moral of the stories: Let candidates decide for their own. Candidates, claim your control over your own destiny. You can’t be a queen when others decide for you.

Ohhh. So that's what it meant when they announced winning P50k or P75k wardrobe or a complete set of wardrobe. I thought it's from JAG or clothing shops in Araneta. Thankfully, they no longer give that as prizes now. HAHAHAHA
You can see na yung journey ni Pia is both disasters and blessings. Ang daming mga puzzles na nagconnect from friend people designers and so much more.

I've seen YT recommending this a lot, I'm a fan, however, I saw that it was like 30 mins long, so I didn't try to watch. I had so busy sched for months that I only watch vids that are like 10 mins or less. Then like my previous comment on one of your vlogs, bitin lol! ofcourse! filipino designers rarely get paid for pageants, they do it out of love.

@@xalbatross1yes, Alfredo Barraza, a Colombian friend of Madam Stella created gowns natcos, of Jennifer Barrientos in 2008 and Mary Jean Lastimosa in 2014 etc. Since, 1964 the start of Binibining Pilipinas because Madam Stella is a Colombian beauty queen, she's the first winner of Miss International in 1961married to a Filipino. Only the natcos of Zoraida Andam in 2001 and Giona Cabrera in 2005 was approved by the judges for these were runners-up in the national costume category.
My niece is joining a pageant in thier school and we have no resources to provide her a gown and a casual dress pls help she is 5'9 and is pretty enough pls pls pls
No offense, but I don't know the other two...Pia is the only one who looks like a beauty queen.
