I'm with you on the cold weather gear. It's getting harder for me to handle the cold the older i get. This past season opening morning of Indiana firearms season we had a bad snow storm come through that morning. Almost did me in ,but stuck it out and got my birthday buck. After that morning i have cold weather gear and a blind on my list before season gets here.

I’m going to be putting a small kill plot in the woods for next deer season. I had a few questions. Should i kill off the existing weeds now in the area im going to plant? Also what do you think is the best plant for deer that will be getting partial sunlight?

Plant winter wheat 45 days before your average first frost. Kill weeds leading up to planting you can start now for sure
