      Maybe. Maybe not. You can buy a brand spanking new 2022 Stingray for about $78 - to $80 grand, if you do it right. Loaded. Not everything... but loaded nonetheless. Clean title. I don't really get paying basically $60K with fees and transport / travel.... to have a '21 with a flood title forever. I don't see it. KILLER car tho - no doubt about that, and I sure would love to have one. Red or Yellow for me on a car like this. They are amazing. And oh boy listen to that bad boy when it cranks up.

You can get the build sheet and window sticker from the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky for about $150 so you'll know exactly how this car is optioned and what the sticker was when new. Have the dealership check it out, but you just scored big time.

      @ryanc2927 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whatever water was in it probably vaporized. (If there was any) I actually think it ended up there after the owner claimed water damage to his insurance (hence the title situation) because someone drove in heavy rain and it tripped a an electrical sensor. (90% of problems in newer cars are electric and if they’re not electric they’re fuel related). They didn’t know whether to take the plugs out and start it (to remove whatever water was in) or what to do. Same thing happened to me - tons of codes and eventually they just went off after I took it to a mechanic to clear them. Water can ruin any car w low or high miles but it’s not as bad as the untrained consumer believes …

  • @Theonedjneo

    Everybody acting like these flooded supercar finds are amazing. This car was most likely in a saltwater flood. You'd have to go through every nut and bolt in that car to make sure there wasn't corrosion. Not to mention the electronics. I'm sure they'll be able to flip it to some sucker, but anybody with a little bit of sense wouldn't touch a flood car with a 10 foot pole.

  • @garyszewc3339
    @garyszewc3339 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not any kind of a bargain. As soon as any vehicle says flood on the title it's never worth more than 50% of a non-flooded vehicle. And a flooded vehicle shouldn't be driven until all fluids are changed. If the axle was under water, the bearings are probably trashed in it. Plus if any wiring was underwater, problems won't happen for a couple years, but all the connections will corrode. The only way to get a bargain on a floated vehicle is if you buy a cheap enough to replace all the wiring harnesses, any soft parts that had gotten wet, and the costs of all the fluids and such, totalling under 50% of current value.

    I don't believe, for a second, that you didn't put a pack on it beforehand and check the oil, etc. What is surprising is that Copart (apparently) didn't. Also...it went through flood reconditioning so who knows how bad it was prior to that service being performed. This is a VERY risky car for an end user to purchase.

    Did ya atleast pull dipstick! Almost $60 racks? Well, who gives a flying f--kkkk!!!! It's a C8 Corvette!!! Man, you got it for what Chevy was 1st selling them for, before they doubled in price! I'd be bursting, you got down, no doubt. Rear, yes that's right, Uh-hum Rear Engine Corvette baby!! For the longest time, it was the U.S.'s only sports car. This was the was Mr. Zora Arkus Duntov originally wanted it. He had actually put a 327 in the back seat of a 65/66 Corsa, but it handled and went faster than the established existing Corvette. Took some time but that engine finally made it back there.

    40k or 55k for a floodcar..thats too much..unless its a Ferrari ..😱🇺🇸you will never make any profit out of it..with that floodtitle..its a Lemon..thats why i never bid on floods..and i doing copart/iaai buys since 2004...last one i got scammed on copart on a 2019 EV..they swapped out the main battery..so i screwed .no profits...

    You just stand there on this video and say “we just bid $40,000 on a flood car” And act like it’s no big deal and nonchalantly say that. Well, I can tell you after watching some of your other videos, which I enjoyed,
    You act like $40,000 to you is $4.00!
    The majority of people that are probably watching your videos do not make $40,000 in a year. Me personally, it would take me 14 months to earn $40,000, much less have $40,000 discretionary income to buy a car that was in a major flood that may or may not be recoverable, that is unless my family owned a paint and body shop.

    60k for a destroyed title c8 , hell it's parts they want , using the motor and transmission in a project car build. Then save the body pieces,for the fender benders. I saw a flooded 2014 GT 500 once at a copart for out right sell $20k every thing checked out still turned over,moved under its own power . Had friends that tell me to stay away from flooded cars ,me doesn't matter all I wanted was the 5.8l 4v Trinity and the transmission if I had the $20k . Try to fit it in a new Mustang cobra ; build it up like a cobra R ..
