    I use a CPAP with oxygen plumbed into it every night. I feel better than I have in years.

      +The CPAP Gentleman. You are most welcome. I have been recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and this information has been very helpful.

    when cleaning my cpap..... looks like a pain in the ass - I just clean mine in the tub while I'm taking a bath in the morning and fart though the tube and leave to dry - ready to go when I get home at night

    You are so cool! Thanks! Your wisdom in highlighting unnecessary O2 is needed. (I think of it as RUSTING unnecessarily!) I just came home from a sleep lab in which O2 was administered through my bi-pap and felt soooo rested upon waking! I also wonder if you covered the healing effects of the Human Growth Hormone which is active during deep sleep and rejuvenates us? Another reason to wear our CPAP or BIPAP! I love your digressions of humor. You go guy! You get an A+ from a retired teacher and violinist aged 70.

    but.. wait, why do people go to oxygen bars? is that bad for them according to the 'too much oxygen' rant you just did? What if I'm suffering from too much C02 in my bloodstream on each blood panel test every year and wake up every other night gasping for air but haven't tested positive for sleep apnea? I have more questions than answers!

    Hello Gentleman. Great topic. What do you think about a fine combination of CPAP machine and Oxygen concentrating machine?
    I mean: partially feeding your CPAP machine with concentrated O2 from the Oxygen machine, so you can get 30% O2 instead of 21% O2 par example. More successful an efficient sleeping performance. :-)

    You can use O2 mixed in proportion to achieve pressurized breathing air.

    Would you do a video explaining how to add oxygen from a concentrator to a CPAP (I have Resmed air Sense10 autoset) and obtained an adaptor but cannot find directions. The concentrator is on first floor; bedroom is upstairs on second floor.

      It's a bit late but airsense 10 has an optional hose with supplemental ox fitting. Put your concentrator in another room, attach a 25 or 50' ox hose to your concentrator and connect it to your airsense 10 ox hose fitting. Adjust your concentrator to your doctor's recommended flow setting and enjoy. It sometimes helps to check your blood levels with one of those finger oximeters to make sure your blood is good while using your CPAP/ox setup. Been on mine 10yrs and it works great.

    What the difference between nebulizer and oxygen cylinder??

    • @thecpapgentleman9442
      @thecpapgentleman9442  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A nebulizer aerosolizes medication into small particles that are inhaled. An oxygen cylinder delivers oxygen gas.
