Had a possible tornado come through late one night and woke me up because the sound was like a big cat was growling in my room. I thought at first where in the hell did this cat come from. Then realized the house was shaking. Downstairs the sliding glass door was pushed open like a regular door would open but the glass didn't break. On the side of the house was a firewood rack with a 4x4 block of wood sitting on the post but that block never moved. The house across the street was on a hill and lost their roof. Craziest damn thing that block of wood never moved .

Wow..... that last 10 seconds was absolutely awe inspiring. Watching the wind pummel the camera head-on was a remarkable shot..... like it was bending matter, tearing everything in its path away. Similar to seeing a Shockwave before the explosion
I hope there weren't many injured. Stay well friend 🤙

Did y’all lose the house? The other day up here in north Alabama I was almost in one. We were at Chick-fil-A and my phones started going off. It wasn’t supposed to start until 9am and at 8am we had to on the ground. And we tried to make it home, and borderline almost went into one. The lord took care of us. I knew when the semi stopped up the road that there was something coming across the road up in front of us into intro. Rain. I’m from Florida moved up here about 6 years ago. Lol. I’ve seen funnel clouds. But I’m used to tornado warnings and stuff like that But that. I’m makes me nervous. To think about. I prayed for you and yours.🙏🏻

From a nearly 3 decade-tenured meteorologist, this just shows the power of tornadoes and what they can do. Hear the outdoor warning siren, take cover and it was nice that they had them going well in advance of the tornado striking.

Back in 2016 a EF3 hit outside of my town. It was so powerful that there were sticks stuck in thick tractor rubber tires. My dad knew most of the people who were struck, as he's friends with most of the farmers in our county, and the stories he got were pretty bad. Several cows ended up in trees or stuck under fences or in ponds. One family's house was completely swept away. Open floor plan to the max. One's house was completely destroyed but the brand-new truck sitting in front of it barely had a couple of scratches on it. The only injury from what I gather was a man got a tree branch shot through his palm as he was holding a steel pot over his head to protect it. My dad has a video of it from like a couple of miles away and zooming in you could see ground up wood chips floating through the air. Even from where our house was you could hear the roar. One minute these people were just going about their lives and the next their houses were destroyed, and animals were injured. So many cows had to be put down because they were simply just too injured to live. I believe they found one cow at least a couple of miles away. Thankfully it didn't go into any of the towns it passed on the side of, which was about four or three. It was all in the country, but I believe it would have been a higher rating if it had gone into any of the towns. We just got lucky. Nobody died and only one or two injuries at most for human victims. Animals, well I don't know how many were lost, but I'm sure it was quite an expensive loss to those farmers. The only other nasty tornado I remember where I live didn't end up hitting our town but ended up hitting a close one. Chapman, Kansas tornado. Was a nasty night, for sure. I remember it vividly and I was only like 9 years old. Thankfully, I don't think anybody died in that tornado, but it went straight through town and wiped out a lot of the downtown area. That was not a good time.

We are like the winter tornado alley, we had a tornado touch down just 2 weeks ago, late winter and early spring is the main time for tornadoes however we can get tornadoes at any time but when they hit in cool weather they tend to become monsters that touche down and stay down, they are mostly wedge tornadoes wrapped in rain so they are invisible as well, we don't have the photogenic definable twisters, oh no, instead we get a violent vortex with stealth capabilities.

    Holly crap !
This tornado kept taunting you guys then it came back with a vengeance !
I knew the boat awning wasn't going to last but dam- now I am scared for everyone that was in the house once the security camera got knocked out . The house can be replaced but if the boat and truck was thrown at the house I'm praying they were all in a tornado shelter or in town eating out
    .
Please 🙏 give an update on this terrifying event!!!!!!

I was very fortunate. No major structural damage to the house. F-150 and Stratos boat never moved.

That's crazy, I was leaving Columbus Georgia last week and had tornado warning pop up and next thing you know about a mile up the highway it went ripping through, I live in the northeast and had never witnessed anything like it before and it was just crazy.

The wind chimes did a better job alerting of the storm than the siren lol

I’m watching from Northern Ireland I find it staggering that in the space of just 6 short minutes what looks like a perfectly came afternoon can turn into an absolute monster.

Thank God your alright! What I’m wondering is why the sirens stopped?

    • @cccorvette
      @cccorvette  ปีที่แล้ว

Our warning sirens only last for a few minutes. This was the second warning we were given.

Omg. Sending prayers to all. I hope everyone is OK. Do we know what strength this tornado was? I was surprised by the tornado sirens running for a bit then just stopped.

It was an EF2. Warning sirens only last just a few minutes here.

What is thoroughly insane about this video is that up until the last 15 seconds you thinks it's another "Ok! Where's the damn tornado!?" vid and then all of a sudden the boat cradle comes flying at you and the tree is ripped out of the ground! Wow!

I hope and pray everyone is okay. Thank you for sharing. A couple of questions though. Why did the Tornado Siren stop? Was it because of a loss of power or because the lack of visibility? Sadly, the only way to see these Tornadoes sometimes is because of the dirt and debris. Also, did your boat make it through? I was amazed how that boat and trailer was still. Thank you again and God Bless you and your family and friends sir.

The warning sirens don't run continuously. They go off when a warning is issued. This was the second warning siren. Boat and truck are a little bruised and battered but survived.
