Great channel. If Yankees Re-sign Soto do a good trade for a first baseman or in house first baseman. And do the same for a second baseman. I would keep Jazz at third base because he has an AROD strong arm there. Plus, Brendan Donovan does sound good for the Yankees to try to get! Go Yankees!
@@vitoleonardi8261 I agree with YOU. And I think Soto won't take forever to decide his team. In my opinion Soto will probably decide what team he wants shortly after the winter meetings are over. The baseball winter meetings are December 8-12.
i can't wait for the winter meeting so we could actually see trades and signings get done although officially free agency has started it''s been quiet.
I can't see St Louis moving either player if they're trying to get back into relevance. They already have BIG problems scoring runs, and it's tough to add by subtracting.
So how does this work…you tell Soto that you will be coming back to a BETTER Team but no trades will take place till after Soto makes his decision…if he drags his decision on like it’s predicted then many players will be off the board…Smart move would be to make a move in good faith to back up your claim…one way or the other the Yankees need to sign players…remember you are dealing with the money hungry super agent who could wait till January-February or longer…
I mean, Boone was not at all a reason they lost. Managers don't field balls for the players. He's been a manager for 7 seasons, has 2 seasons with 100+ wins and another with 99, 3 trips to the ALCS and an American League Pennant. That is OBJECTIVELY a good manager at worst.
I know Soto is a great young player, but to spend 600 million for over ten years can really hurt the Yankees. Remember Judge is close to leaving his prime years with seven years left on his deal. The Yankees need young players who know how to run and catch.
I think it's more like 13 or 14 years but they need to add a lot more to this team than just him. They definitely need a leadoff hitter and another power hitting lefty if they don't get him.A legitimate leadoff hitter with speed would be nice and Jazz and Volpe are not the answers.I would like to see them get Adames because he is a proven leader.
We can't just sign Soto. Have to add at least 3 more additions to be better. Priority #1 is 1st base. Also stud reliever. Donovan would be ideal for 2nd or 3rd
The deferred money may seen scary.. but depends upon when that was deferred.. was it from the early years, the late years... a little of both... and how many times to teams eat some of the deal to move a player... still, he would look nice... but he's also getting to that magic age when bad things happen... if not decline, injuries..
Need to get guys that play 1 primary position we already have enough util guys in Waldo and Berti. I like Arenado at 3rd Put jazz at 2nd where he excels Put judge in RF where he excels Get Santander for LF Dominguez in cf his natural spot Get a 1b maybe Walker good defense here is super important if you’re trying to have a strong infield Etc
I'm hearing about Caleb Durbin tearing up the fall league, I think they were saying that he has 29 stolen bases in 24 games and a BA over .300 as well during this period, could he be a realistic option for the upcoming season?
Cortez is one pitch away from TJ, can’t see any outside interest. Stroman is the one that needs to be moved. Weaver? Only live arm in the pen, what are you thinking?
Youth Movement no declining 33 or 34 year old player I don't care how elite a 3rdbaseman sounds like DJ LAMEHEIU # Hassan Kim or the Brendan Donavan can he play 1st base ? Luke Weaver needs to stay and add depth along side of him give them W ll Warren in triple A
Jason, there is a trade proposal on Sporting News between the Cardinals and the Yankees. Here is the proposal: Ryan Helsley and utility infielder Brendan Donovan to the Yankees for starting pitcher Luis Gil, as well as prospects Chase Hampton and Brando Mayea. What do you think??
@161riverave.4 doing good and my wife is doing ok with the rare cancer she has thanks for asking my friend I hope the Yankees will go and get good players Cortez and stroman need to go.
If the Cards trade Donovan the Mariners could offer a better prospect package. Cards have no need in 2025 for Cortes or Weaver as they are going on youth movement. Yankees would need to offer Arias and a pitching prospect like Hampton
@@brycea6692 i agree but if yankees were to offer Gil plus a prospect it could be hard to beat. Would love to see a Mariner trade for both Donovan and Helsley.
There is no universe in which a GM who trades Luis Gil for Donovan should keep their job. That would be an absurdly stupid trade to make. I like Donovan, but did people.just forget how utterly dominant Gil can be?
The latest rumor coming from Morsoi is Soto will be offered 800 million to 1 billion from a team. 700 million would be paid out and 300 million to be deferred. I am calling bull shit but if this is true, pass.
I’ll take Nolan for 3 years especially if they bring back Soto tighten up the infield put Jazz at 2nd and get a quality lefty 1B with power and a great glove. In 09 they had a badass infield Tex, Cano , Jeter & ARod ! The ? Is LF
Arenado will turn into another Hicks, Donaldson, Gallo in a year or so...pick one. Forget Soto (toooooo long of a contract), trade for Donovan for 3B, move Jazz to 2B, sign Walker for 1B, sign Santander for LF, sign Tanner Scott for closer. These choices will cost alot less than Soto, they might even be able to sign a SP as well. Soto contract will handcuff them.
Unpopular opinion but I feel like they should pass on Soto if it goes beyond 500 million. I’d rather see them spend on 3 good players than 1 great hitter who can’t field well for the next decade plus.
No to Arenado, he is on the decline.
100%
No to Arenado.
Arenado would have been great five years ago
yes!
Yankees are always late on players should have gotten him 5 years ago
Arenado yes. I don’t think they’ll get him now.
Yeah 600 to 700 million dollars! Wow that’s crazy money! Crazy! Money!
@@stevengreco1939 the money should not matter because it’s not ours. We are gonna pay out our pocket regardless of who they sign

1 very important point, Yankees can't sit on their hands waiting for SOTO. No time to waste and get caught with few options

The better players are gonna be held up by Soto as well. The market for the most part will wait.
Arenado is gold glove but he hits like my grandma. Much rather play youngster with good glove that has an UP side.
Still coming back to the same manager 🥺

Hi Jason! Regarding Soto, I would tell him that he will be protected by Judge for the next many years (by batting just before him).

Trade Nestor before serious injury happens
They won’t trade him because he doesn’t make any money
