I used to live in Rochester, NY and this was the very first Midnite show I ever attended! It was fantastic. Midnite didn't start playing until right around 12 a.m. (midnight) and then they played for a couple of hours. I saw them and Akae Beka play about 10 times after that, until Vaughn died. I was lucky enough to meet Vaughn in Stowe, VT. after a show at The Rusty Nail. I was staying at the same motel and I chatted with him for a while and got an autograph (which he signed "Midnite" because he was a humble man). I told him that his music was all I listen to and I saw a smile on his face. That was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me because he was one of my heroes.

Just as raw food had been prepared for the occasion along with several jars of holy herbs that were laid out on the table, Vaughn brought the raw reality of truth and wisdom to that same said table and in turn fed I n I that night.
