Okay...there is some good messaging in here, like you should try, you should be positive, you should take control of what you can. But outright denial of the empirical issues with the system is BS. This is classic survivorship bias from someone who made it, looking back at others and saying, 'why didn't you just do what I did?' Don't let the fact that you should do your best stop you from criticizing the rich bastards taking you for a ride. 'The only person that's gonna stop you from achieving your goals is you' is just a lie. It's demonstrably untrue and it's why I can't take you seriously.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and doing so in a respectful way, I appreciate that. I am not attempting to deny that the system does not have issues, I am merely stating that I believe it is not personal, and if consistent enough and smart enough, anyone can achieve their goals (realistic). I am also not someone who has 'made it' I am very much in my own journey also and these are principles that I apply within my own life also. Of course things can happen to us that are out of our control and it can set us back. Happened to me plenty of times before. But my point isn't that, my point is that we have a responsibility to ourselves to not allow these moments to destroy us. We have a responsibility to try and take responsibility for every single thing in our control and with that responsibility yield it well and reap the rewards of life. In simple terms, shit can happen of course. Just don’t let bad shit that happens knock you off your feet and keep you down. You have a responsibility to keep going. And if you do that, I think you will win, in some small way.
