I recognize elements of this story and I haven't even finished listening.
It's a scam, and there are several red flags that tell you it's a scam.
1) The police officer was "walking by".
2) Payment was wanted immediately.

I really wish they would set these stories in their own country. They cite these like the laws in America are the same as the laws in their own country. It doesn't work like that. The story is interesting but Lord you definitely mispronounced people's names you call them effing and the man's name is supposed to be Ethan!! And does the reader have asthma because I can hear him breathing very heavily in between each word if so I hope you're feeling better if not I'm sorry it just sounds like you might have had asthma!!!
