Also, thanks Fromsoft for patching the game two days after I started recording, forcing me to start with a whole new seed in the process of updating everything. I took the opportunity to adjust a few settings, so now there should be a little more chaos, bosses more likely to be placed in weird/funny locations, key items moved, etc.

I just finished beating her after 20+ attempts and it my heart is 1° cooler after watching him curb stomp her.
(6:30) You actually don't ever have to kill either of the giants to open those chests on the carts. You just have to bite their ankles until they stop moving.
Some of the chests are also just openable while the carts are moving for some reason.
@@arrowpuppet Idk if you follow Zuile, but dont try to open the chest with the horseback guys nearby, they got a move that can erase the cart from existance. Its a bug and it happened to me lol.

So it turns out that, unless you pick up the first smithing stone in the church near the tree sentinell, Melina's cutscene wont trigger and your game will be softlocked
did this change in 1.06 or is it a randomizer thng
I played in 1.06, all the way just past the draconic sentinel where the game told me I needed more rune while I got 2, I even went to kill Radan, still nothing but the MOMENT i picked up the stone on the anvil and rested THATS when the cutscene finally played. You can try it if you want, it "could" be a bug
That’s very odd, and it must be something new. Plenty of speed runners completely skip that smithing stone and still get the Melina cutscene.
I've gotten this bug as well once, but it was on a different item. I picked up the first golden seed in storm hill and Melina just showed up, maybe something to do with moving too fast in the game, or maybe you have to pick up a few items first?
I've never realized I wanted Rusty gameplay content like this.

You only need to hit one of the trolls once and the hearse stops
It will start back up after a minute or two tho, meaning you can loot it, and stand there for a free ride.
It would be kinda funny if the glinstone key replaced the dragon heart you get from the dragon right in front of it

Glintstone key is found in that dungeon on the far side of where you usually fight Radahn.

I love how you know for a goddamn fact that if this was vanilla people would be making 3 hour lore analysis videos about the philosophical meaning behind the ancestor spirit dropping a painting and their art degree or whatever.

I tried out the randomizer after watching this a few times. Scion was replaced by a falling star beast. I walked out of the tomb to be greeted by... another falling star beast instead of the tree sentinel. Fun start :-)
I imagine the key is probably the reward for defeating the elden beast

Idk if you need more comments saying to play more of this, but Prod did a randomizer run and I enjoyed it a lot. Id love to see you do one as well. Like, skip less of the boring parts honestly because a supprising portion of viewers love the long format background sound with the exciting moments between. Like if you jumpcut to every action scene in a movie it would lose its impact. ... plus you getting the last sword in the game kinda make it ez mode. Maybe swap off it for the next video and save it for the hardest encounters. Just some ideas bro. Another video like this wherte you spam the art of war might not get as much traction as you struggling for a while. We (well.. I) want to see the struggle, its funny. Youre funny, and got a good voice for youtube. You got potential for a million subs if you cater to your audience more.
Id love to see this as a series, modded fromsoft games have a lot of content to work with, youre in a good place to keep at it. I like your reviews, as a solo player and meta hater myself, i vibe with your style of content.

You're not bad at the game, or good, you're just kind of playing it and having fun, which is perfectly fine. You don't have to be some FromSoft demigod to make good videos like this one.
That being said, if you are looking for tips, open the rest of this comment:
• You don't need to pull aggro'd enemies when you can just shoot a giant death wave at them.
• Waves of Gold can (and should) be aimed, as the waves at the edges of the attack do not reliably hit every enemy they pass through.
• Waves of Gold treats most structures and low-to-high elevation changes as barriers and will stop the waves in place. It doesn't travel up surfaces very well, unlike the ashes of war on Blasphemous Blade, Ruins Greatsword, or Death's Poker.
• Crystal Darts don't work on abductor virgins because they're tanks piloted by snakes, Crystalians because they're sapient glintstone aliens, or marionettes because they're built like trash by student sorcerers. Only golems, imps, and watchcats.
• Rancor and the other death spells suffer in PvE regardless of investment or equipment.
• Nearly all of your damage is currently coming from Faith, and that damage is holy. Ordinarily, beating the game with holy sucks because of Elden Beast. However, it's very unlikely Elden Beast will actually be Elden Beast in this run.

I tried this mod and god malenia as godrick.
Around 20:48 when that knife is thrown, it doesn't go "right through your head", it's this fun little quirk for non-tracking projectiles that aren't centered, if you walk to the side opposite the hand that was used to throw/cast it, 9 times outta 10 you'll be able to dodge with no issue.

Your indifference to silver mail is warranted but i will say as far as drip goes theres a really nice set you can make with hoslows greaves, alberichs gauntlets the altered Silver mail and the crimson hood. It all looks dope.
Unfortunately the stats are fucking abysmal cuz, yenno, drip and stats in this game is hard as fuck to find but hey, As far as fashion goes it really does like great atleast on female characters
Was there no setting to leave story crucial items untouched?
I mean, optional quests still makes sense, but doesn't the complete randomisation mean there's a very real risk that entire story areas become unavailable, making it impossible to finish a randomizer run?

Just as like a heads up you can stop the carts long enough to loot by just hitting one of the trolls

Battle mage is one of my go tos since he also has range and close combat and TANKS damage.
Quick tip. You don’t have to kill the carriage pulling trolls to stop it. You just have to hit one of them once and they both stop
