So it turns out that, unless you pick up the first smithing stone in the church near the tree sentinell, Melina's cutscene wont trigger and your game will be softlocked
I played in 1.06, all the way just past the draconic sentinel where the game told me I needed more rune while I got 2, I even went to kill Radan, still nothing but the MOMENT i picked up the stone on the anvil and rested THATS when the cutscene finally played. You can try it if you want, it "could" be a bug

Around 20:48 when that knife is thrown, it doesn't go "right through your head", it's this fun little quirk for non-tracking projectiles that aren't centered, if you walk to the side opposite the hand that was used to throw/cast it, 9 times outta 10 you'll be able to dodge with no issue.
Old video but no: Rivers of Blood did NOT get what it deserved, it got murdered and now it sucks and that should never be the case when balancing an overpowered item. It should still feel good to use but not trivialise the game.

That being said, if you are looking for tips, open the rest of this comment: • You don't need to pull aggro'd enemies when you can just shoot a giant death wave at them. • Waves of Gold can (and should) be aimed, as the waves at the edges of the attack do not reliably hit every enemy they pass through. • Waves of Gold treats most structures and low-to-high elevation changes as barriers and will stop the waves in place. It doesn't travel up surfaces very well, unlike the ashes of war on Blasphemous Blade, Ruins Greatsword, or Death's Poker. • Crystal Darts don't work on abductor virgins because they're tanks piloted by snakes, Crystalians because they're sapient glintstone aliens, or marionettes because they're built like trash by student sorcerers. Only golems, imps, and watchcats. • Rancor and the other death spells suffer in PvE regardless of investment or equipment. • Nearly all of your damage is currently coming from Faith, and that damage is holy. Ordinarily, beating the game with holy sucks because of Elden Beast. However, it's very unlikely Elden Beast will actually be Elden Beast in this run.
The monks flameblade is the rarest weapon in the game. Only 1 specific enemy in all of Elden ring drops it. It’s also a smaller than 1 percent drop too.

Some of the chests are also just openable while the carts are moving for some reason.

That’s very odd, and it must be something new. Plenty of speed runners completely skip that smithing stone and still get the Melina cutscene.
