Another super lesson! Anybody interested in learning fingerstyle guitar should really consider joining the Fingerstyle Five membership. Every lesson is clear, detailed and comprehensive. With access to the Fingerstyle Five lesson content along with continuing weekly live courses, any excuse for not being an excellent fingerstyle guitar player is gone! Follow the lessons and you get better. Simple as that! I've learned more in my first year of Fingerstyle Five membership than in all of my 60+ years of music lessons. I highly recommend membership!!

Hi Dave. I've only recently "discovered" your TH-cam channel but I'm really enjoying your very cool and informative lessons. I lived in NY for 12 years from the late 80s' through the 90s' and I feel sure I've seen you play in NYC during that time. Anyway, keep on doing what you do and I'll be seeing you "inside" your course very soon. Best wishes to you from Ireland.

So basically, the progression works because D7 acts like the 5th of the 5th of the 5th of the 5th of E. And we add G7 because it acts like the 5th of the 5th of the 5th of E. Pretty simple really. 😅😂
