How to Create a Marble Effect with Aqua Cast - Coaster Set - PLUS AMAZING NEWS!

In today’s video I will be demonstrating how to easily create a marble effect using Aqua Cast casting compound. I will be making four hexagonal coasters and a matching coaster stand.

Also a helpful tip, I use a block sander and it works great with sanding. Can be found at any hardware store. Makes my life simpler

These turned out so pretty. Yes those brush strokes are so annoying so I bought some Eco Advance Concrete sealer and dipped them, actually my hubby helped me, he dipped and I dried. They turned out amazing and it was a nice time to share with my husband. 😁The dipping method needs two dips. Also you can sand your coaster tops down to let more of the glitter to expose

This is a fun design, especially with your color choices. Adding the gold was perfection. I'm not a fan of heavy or bulky keyrings, my keys and fobs are already too much. I have old-school ceiling fans throughout my home - no remote controls for me. (No worries re remotes for a TV, I do not watch TV.) I add various pendants and charms to the pull chains that control my ceiling fans/lights. Your faux marble pendants would also be lovely hanging by a ribbon on your bedroom and/or bathroom door. So many uses!

That’s exciting news! I’ll have to try it! Do acrylic paints work well for colorant? Do you mix it in the water before adding the powder? I’m slow at doing project due to some physical disabilities so I’m afraid of taking too long since it’s only 15 min or so work time. OR, I could do better planning. Lol but things never go to plan or the plan changes during the process. I guess I’ll have to just get some and experiment.
Unless you’d do a video for us using acrylic paints, Ms. Louise 😃 I’d love that!

Hi MissKyle, sorry for the delay, I’m just catching up. I haven’t actually tried acrylic paint in Aqua Cast but I know you can. Have you used Aqua Cast before? It has a much longer working time than Jesmonite or Hydroflow, especially if you add a little extra water. I would say you will get at least 30 minutes depending on environment. It’s a good video idea, I will put it on my ‘to do’ list.

@@LouiseSingletonCreations I haven't used it or anything like it but you know how art supplies go. Lol. I have so much for resin and painting I don't want to buy more stuff just to try something I might not like or I'm. It fast enough to use.
