I do know that when it glitched for me after doing the gift. I never pinged the camera before hacking the access point. I went right to the access point. I also did it in act 1. My first play through I did the quest in act 2 and followed the quest correctly. Can anyone test this to see if they get the glitch doing the quest in act 1 or improperly?
@@zKarma if im not wrong the mission can be started at lvl 12. if you enter the area before you can start the mission the building is locked and you can only hack the access point on the roof. after you reach lvl 12 evry other access point in the area should be available. i entered this area with several low lvl characters(lvl 12 ofc:) hacked the access points for the 6 legendarys and came back later to finish the mission but i could always hack all the 6 access point without complete the mission
Yeah, that bug really annoying - thanks for letting everyone know it has nothing to do with the gift or the ping reward. So many threads warning everyone about the quest. I had two playthroughs /characters that were glitched (zero quick hacks ever) and now on my 3rd character and finally started getting common quick hacks from access points, so I'm hoping that once I have 10 intelligence I will actually get some legendary QHs 🤞

Thanks for this video. I just started the game a week ago, hit level 30 on completion of the Serial Suicide gig at Corpo Plaza. With 14 intelligence I quickly got 5 legendary quickhacks for my build.
I have to agree. I am level 33, 18 tech , 15 intelligence. I hacked a 15 (int) in the cuckoos nest mission by the guard desk and got zippo. I have the 100% chance to get a quick hack from access point perk also. I have 3 atm I got from city center, but haven't seen a legendary in a few levels
I decided to max out crafting and just cut the guess work. Crafting is probably the most usefully ability tree after which I can respec and develop a different set up once I get all the legendary quick hacks I want
I think any item with an exclamation point is a quest related item. I have a few of those in my inventory like all of Johnny's gear and any weapon that was given to me as a quest reward such as the Overwatch sniper from Panam.
Howd you kill the enemies to start the police mission in order to get into the security area? It’s not letting me open the doors and im too low level to kill them.
In the Area you showed there are actually SIX intelligence 10 terminals that give you legendary quickhacks. On the right of the Server Room at the wall at some Delamain thing. However, it's hard to get as a low level because your are easily detected. Good luck!
[Further Update 2] Played from 0/0 to 50/50 without a single leggo hack shard :( Thoughts: I had acquired most (if not all of them, in my previous playthrough. I wonder if the glitch is that the system thinks I already have them all.
I played to level 50 on my first play through with no quickhacks ;( my second play through, I avoided the gift quest altogether and still no quickhacks. Used different life paths and tried to make different choices. Somewhere the game is getting bugged. So infuriating but hell, I won’t quit over it lol this game is too much fun. Guess I’ll just wait for CDP to patch it.

As with Devin, i've tried different life paths, quest choices, avoided "the gift", and so on . . . . To me, this is a game-breaker as I cannot use a large portion of the game.
Can buy epic quick hacks at the woman (selling netrunner gear) next to the woman who placide gives the chicken to in the voodoo boys mission. At least you can get decent quickhacks there (all of them available). I too cannot get any quickhacks from hacking while on previous character could, so its bugged.
I discovered that i was suffering from the glitch following your videos. Doing everything right, street lvl 50, pers level 42, int 14, getting fucked every time i datamine by the ping! bug... or whatever it is that blocks getting quichacks. Thank you for this very informative video !

I went through a bunch of saves, but found out that after the heist, I could not get quickhacks from access points anymore. Wish someone would find the solution. Like this game so much I would start over again
My 3rd game doesn't show me getting them from quick hacks, but they donshownup in inventory. It's my corpo playthrough. I even have my intel to 20, first line daemon is auto completed, and 1 shorter. Every quick hack I complete all 3 I get one, even though it doesn't show after completion in screen. It does appear in inventory though
Bro i did 20 of those terminals in a row exactly how you said saving/reload not one legendary quickhack dropped only components. I have never gotten any legendary qhacks period and im 200 hours into game and yes finished entire game ggs
Me too but unfortunately at this time all you cam do is start another character if you want legendary quick hacks. Maybe they will patch it and you can use this one to gain them one day soon. Here’s hoping👍

Along those lines i cant complain.. i got the map and did the duplication glitch.. i have as much money and materials for crafting as i want. Only things that bother me are no legendary hacks and no legendary armor specs i can buy do to glitches. But the money and duplication glitches more than make up for that 100x over.. because with having all the epic hacks and the 1 system reset legendary hack as well as a few legendary cyberware biards to choose from.. add to that having perk points placed to max out my Ram to 13 and recovery rate maxed out so that i regain it almosr as fast as i use it.. i can do just about anything i want. My tech weapon and all handgun perks are maxed using the lizzy maxed out with 20 mod slots for my legendary armor all maxed out im at well over 5200 armor. Im undefeatable even without the epic lazer grenades and 80% gealth boosters!! Thats considering im even playing on hard setting! I started over just because it got too easy and i want to try it without glitching this time.

Yeah for real I was searching HARD trying to get legendaries without specing 20 points into intelligence, and at the time everywhere on the net only had the 20INT method, this dude showed me the way to have all the pros of legendary hacks without wasting the points for get 20 INT
I found out after 30 mins of reloading and gave up and thought it was just neva meant to be until I saw a vid from another youtuber bringing up the glitch then I just decided to just waste 4 extra pts just to be able to craft them instead of making new character😥😥
2 questions - does this work on PC, and should it still work at all on a patch 1.5 install. I have now tried this 122 times. I have gotten NO quickhacks at all, much less a legendary one. intelligence 12, datamine virtuoso has 2 points assigned so is 100% increase, and do NOT have the "Gift" ping
Sorry... found out that after upgrading to 100% quickhack components; I could still get quickhacks, that is it updated a uncommon cripple quickhack to a rare cripple one. Not an extra one... All this was done while not even having contacted Takamure after the heist. I do have a ping with exclamation mark, but believe they are part of the items that are part of the story, so you can not sell them. Look at the overall-view-backpack and see a lot of items with exclamation marks and they are all part of the story, like in The Witcher...
My game is bugged. I am going on my 3rd playthrough and the 2nd playthrough I did get legendary quickhacks at the suicide mission you show but...on the third playthrough at level 15? I went into suicide and repeatedly tried getting legendary and with virtuoso (100% chance of getting quickhack perk) still got NO...that is none...quickhacks (had 5 green ones and never got any more than the 5 I had or any epic or legendarys after 6 tries (saving and reloading). Got frustrated and went downstairs hacked computer and left completing the mission. Came back and could not plug in to any terminals including one on roof that I did not access prior to completing mission or others and find it strange that I could not access the terminal to try again. What is that glitch about. Other terminals I came across I could not access in game and I usually create a save and reload to fix minor glitches but it did not work with accessing terminals (level 16 intelligence, level 28). Something is buggy. Also found I can buy epic quick hacks at the netrunner sale place where you follow placide in voodoo boys mission and placide gives chicken to woman. The woman next to the chicken recipient sells netrunner (quickhacks) and I could purchase epic and uncommon quick hacks from her. I found a 13 intelligence hack point and still no joy.
Not to mention the guards which freak the fuck out and call in bots. Your right just get all three lines and the one down stairs usually gives sick one everytime suicide, cyberphyscois, sonic shock, contingent, synapse overload.
So is selling your spare hacks (those of lower or equal level to those equipped) from your backpack ok, or does that cause problems? I'm seeing hacking terminals as a decent source of money (especially if they patch the other stuff and I find Breach Protocols more fun than grinding soda cans), if you get all 3 Datamines you get ~$1500 in money with the perks, ~$1500 in components with the perks, and I'm wondering if Datamine Virtuoso would add to that further (after you get the hacks you need just treat it as extra money from access points). It may not be enough to justify a 100k reset, but if you plan to do one anyway (e.g. resetting other leveling perks like + crit when you expect to have over 100% crit at endgame) it would make sense. Also it seems like selling quickhack components is probably better than using them to craft/upgrade hacks and then selling (does anyone know differently?).
Unfortunately with 1.11 any time I reload a save (manual, quick or auto) from within the game the game will CTD. If it's loaded first thing then likely, but not always, it will load fine. This makes the meta maneuver of saving and loading to get better items incredibly frustrating and takes about over a minute each time since I have to sit through the intro videos.
@@zKarma From my experience the legendary quickhacks drop with increasing difficulty of access points. If you are lowlevel you can only do this with 9/10 INT access points, but if you are high level you can get legendary quickhacks from any access point (if you are not glitched) as the breach difficulty seems to increase with your character level.
The bug from "The Gift" quest doesn't seem to occur to everyone. What it seems to do is incorrectly add the Ping quickhack to your backpack inventory but not your quickhack inventory. After that you don't seem to receive any quick hacks from looting or access points and I can't find away to remove/sell/dismantle it. I had the datamine virtuoso perk maxed and looted 50+ access points and not a single quickhack. What I did notice was at the end of the list where it shows your rewards when you exit the access point there would be an empty space where it seems another reward was supposed to be but it was always blank. I reset my perks and didn't invest in that perk again and no longer see the empty space. Probably wait until CDPR fix the bugs a little more and start a new character.
Already done that. I mentioned in the video that I have a diff character with both pings (!) in my backpack. That's not a bug. The only reason why they're in your backpack is because you have other pings. Look, go sell all of your ping quickhacks to a vendor and then check cyberdeck, now it will be in your inventory. You can equip it but you'll still have the glitch.
I don’t know if I actually got rid of my exclamation ping, or what happened but I had it, tried to use upgrade my ping to the next lvl and couldn’t so I crafted another green and then crafted the blue, and my (!) was gone. ?? So either I managed to get rid of it that way or maybe I still have it but can’t see where it went ?
This might be the fastest way, but still requires 10 Intelligence. If you do this high level instead you can get legendary quickhacks at any access point - even the ones with low INT requirement. So even with only 3 intelligence you can get all the legendary quickhacks. For some builds this might be more prefered, when these aim to get legendary Short Circuit just for the passive.
@@Hopalongtom Then your save was probably also glitched. A read in the offical forum that taking the perk fixes the "no quickhacks" bug for some people.
On my first Playthru I went the Net Runner route. Using 90% quick hacks and a silent revolver. On my second Playthru I’m going berserk mode. No hacks at all and the highest difficulty. I’m only level 15 and I’m destroying everything. I’m also level boosting to maximize my character and build potential.
Havent had that issue but I aquired quickhacks including ping before going to grab the gift. That's what I'd advise skip the gift mission till you have ping from alt source then do the gift
That may be the solution because in a previous playthrough I did not do the gift (I did but did not complete it and it stilled showed not done) and I got legendarys at lower level (12 intelligence) and street cred, but recent playthrough I completed gift and could not get legendary or ANY OTHER quickhacks (even with virtuoso perk.

I apparently have this glitch as well as the legendary clothing glitch.. as convenient as digital is it is ruining the game industry, remember when you bought a game off the shelf fully functional without a day one patch.. I remember when I thought being a bata tester would be the coolest job.. never thought they would just start selling at the bata level and make us all the testers... rip that career path if taken..😞
The weird thing is that it's not a consistent bug. I can get green ones from access points all day long. Tried this on a few different playthroughs. On one of them I bit the bullet and respecced to be able to craft them and didn't even get the crafting specs for the legendaries that way. Also couldn't get them to drop from farming VDB's. The closest I could get was the detonate grenade and suicide both in epic form - THOSE however I was getting on probably a 10% drop rate or so from farming VDB's. This is my 3rd try and even after hacking probably about 50 access points on my level 6 character before I've even taken the job for The Heist, I'm still not getting anything more than uncommons. I just want to know how I can determine 100% if a current game playthrough is bugged or not as early as possible.
I was also thinking, that the "Gift Ping" might be the problem. I am on my 2nd playthrough, now. On my 1st I could not get any quickhacks from access points at all, but I always had the "Gift Ping" equipped. On my 2nd playthrough, because I could not get any on my 1st, I just used the console to give myself all legendary quickhacks, unequipped the "Gift Ping", unsing the legendary variant and now I get quickhacks from access points all the time. After watching your video, I just got the idea, that maybe having the "Gift Ping" equipped vs not could be the problem. As you want to do more testing anyways, maybe you can test this as well. i wish it was that simple. i thought you were onto something but i did some testing and i was able to get a quickhack from an access point while that ping was equipped. it seems the only workaround is to start a new character and hope for the best
So I've done the gift in every play through and got legendary hacks at the higher intelligence level just like you said. Except this last play through that I'm in at this moment. Don't understand why I don't get them on this last one!
I also noticed that I can't upgrade those special hacks like the ping from the gift. I found a purple one somewhere, don't know where, but I can't also craft a green one so I could upgrade it like I did the others to legendary. Don't know why I can't craft a green one??? Can't upgrade that purple one either.
So this was one of the first missions i had to do early in game. Im sure i have the ping with the exclamation point did you not get the exclamation on your playtthru? I have yet to extensively test it out ob my current save file but i have been mildly hacking and haven't really seen any quickhacks of much. Hopefully im not bugged
Access point level 8 or 9 might have chances to drop legendary one as well and for epic one, just go to Pacifica and go through the fast leveling guide, killing the voodoo boys netrunner will always has a chance to drop the epic one
I am currently playing a glitched game (cant get quick hacks even with virtuoso at 100%) but found I can buy epic quick hacks (all of them) from the woman (sells netrunner gear) next to the woman that placid gives the chicken to (voodoo boys mission) for cheap. So at least I can get all the epic versions.
I have done this 12 runs doing three terminals at a time. I have not gotten one at all. Could this mean if I have an epic one already that would negate a legendary one?
Can someone help me. I got the access point in the electrical room and the one on the ceiling of the office but I can't get inside the office to reach the other 3.
[further update] I upgraded to my favorite CyberDeck and the one that produced the most leggos for me. I have yet to get a single legendary, whether at the 7th Hell or at zKarmaa's favorite terminals at the station. :(
So I am bugged now, almost done with the main story, though I wasn't bugged at the beginning of Act 1 right after the Gift quest. I just added them via console. This glitch and the clothing store one suck

What if you equip that ping that you get? Could that be the issue? Just spit balling here since people think its related to that quick hack and quest... I mean my playthrough is bugged out from getting legendaries as well and I've been using that ping quick hack since I got it from the quest...
could the glitch maybe have to do with platform or version?, console or pc?, digital or disc?, I'm glitched and haven't done the missions associated with the glitch, I'm playing digital xbox one version
Its downstairs from where you sneak past the guards with the cordoned off area. I just jump up on the side and walk past the guards and then take a right through the doorway and go down the stairs to the area that has all the hack points (the one on the roof wont get you into a firefight).
I'm just going to wait for a fix. I have too much time into this character to restart now. Hopefully they add it with the next patch ( which should be out in about 10 days).
Do u plan to play again after u finish the game? I am on my 3rd playthru. But I've actually done the prolog 5 times bc of the mess of the launch. That said its definitely more rewarding to just play that game as is and next run u can plan ahead.

All I know is after watching your vid and getting the perk I never got one legendary quickhack from an access point.. in 160 hrs lol I know it's def a bug , but next time I'm just getting the perks to craft them fuck it.
There are access points that can give legendaries regardless of intelligence and level. Two are located inside the gig "An Inconvenient Killer", a bar in the city center area.
MAYBE... the problem is the Intelligence/ Datamine/ Mastermind... After you have doubled up there: 100% more COMPONENTS you get no more quickhacks. Just tried at 50% components and still got a rare quickhack in an old save. Maybe someone can try that out ?
i got 5 legendary quick hacks but i got system Reset , Sonic Shock, OverHeat , Contagain, Suicide, didn't get Cybersychosis , but whatever not going to keep trying .... 5 is fine
This is my 4th play through (first was totally glitched so I tried again) In each of the first 3, i used the same cyberDeck. In this play through I am using Stephensen Mk 3 and I cannot get leggos to drop from terminals :( Dunno if this is the cause. but perhaps with the people getting the glitch we can find a commonality
Hmm interesting...My netrunner build had a raven micro when doing this, got 6 legendaries, my techie build on the other hand was using a stephenson mk.2 and I couldn't get any quickhacks from that spot, not even a single one after countless attempts. gonna try another cyberdeck now, maybe stephenson's are bugged or something and if that doesn't help then I just gonna cheat my legendary short circuit. tired of this shit...

It did not. Tested it after completing "The gift". Tried it several times without the perk "Datamine Virtuoso", then tried it several times with the perk (50% and 100% versions). Got nothing but components. Running the new 1.52, definitely still bugged. I'm on PS5, if platform plays a part, but I think the glitch is on all platforms since I first played it on Stadia initially (before 1.5)
I think you can access two early on without doing the serial suicide gig. One to the right of the securty room, and one in a shaft above the security room.
Serial suicide mission can't even be started if you don't heave enough street cred, side door to sneak in require 15 technical so this video is a bit misleading, that is why you start already inside, you didn't come to that place legit as so low level character. But it is my fault I should know better , you "guides" are like 80% correct.
Sorry partner... It does not work anymore... ALL you get is quickhack components, no more quickhacks themselves, of any kind. Shame version 1.05 changed that ??>

Reached level 47 and didn't get a single quickhack with the perks and multiple acccess points because of the glitch. Mod time it is.

But the money and duplication glitches more than make up for that 100x over.. because with having all the epic hacks and the 1 system reset legendary hack as well as a few legendary cyberware biards to choose from.. add to that having perk points placed to max out my Ram to 13 and recovery rate maxed out so that i regain it almosr as fast as i use it.. i can do just about anything i want. My tech weapon and all handgun perks are maxed using the lizzy maxed out with 20 mod slots for my legendary armor all maxed out im at well over 5200 armor. Im undefeatable even without the epic lazer grenades and 80% gealth boosters!! Thats considering im even playing on hard setting! I started over just because it got too easy and i want to try it without glitching this time.
The joanne koch mission has a terminal with a level 14 intelligence farmed that still no quickhacks that mission has only tens an above
Champion bro... I noticed that you were one of the first (if not the first) to point out you don't need LVL 20 Intel to get the legendary hacks... Everyone else just seemed to claim it for themselves... Keep up the good work bro and thank you for talking bout the glitches
Yeah for real I was searching HARD trying to get legendaries without specing 20 points into intelligence, and at the time everywhere on the net only had the 20INT method, this dude showed me the way to have all the pros of legendary hacks without wasting the points for get 20 INT
I found out after 30 mins of reloading and gave up and thought it was just neva meant to be until I saw a vid from another youtuber bringing up the glitch then I just decided to just waste 4 extra pts just to be able to craft them instead of making new character😥😥
I was too high level (levelled up through street sweeping) to do that. Cyberpunk has a sh!t ton of bugs, but this one really disappointed me.
U can always respec with the retabula for 100,000 eddies.

2 questions - does this work on PC, and should it still work at all on a patch 1.5 install. I have now tried this 122 times. I have gotten NO quickhacks at all, much less a legendary one. intelligence 12, datamine virtuoso has 2 points assigned so is 100% increase, and do NOT have the "Gift" ping

Sorry... found out that after upgrading to 100% quickhack components; I could still get quickhacks, that is it updated a uncommon cripple quickhack to a rare cripple one. Not an extra one...
All this was done while not even having contacted Takamure after the heist. I do have a ping with exclamation mark, but believe they are part of the items that are part of the story, so you can not sell them. Look at the overall-view-backpack and see a lot of items with exclamation marks and they are all part of the story, like in The Witcher...
I'm on ps5 and just unequipped all quickhacks and then sold ping...once I did that the bug was fixed...I've been farming them ever since...
My game is bugged. I am going on my 3rd playthrough and the 2nd playthrough I did get legendary quickhacks at the suicide mission you show but...on the third playthrough at level 15? I went into suicide and repeatedly tried getting legendary and with virtuoso (100% chance of getting quickhack perk) still got NO...that is none...quickhacks (had 5 green ones and never got any more than the 5 I had or any epic or legendarys after 6 tries (saving and reloading). Got frustrated and went downstairs hacked computer and left completing the mission. Came back and could not plug in to any terminals including one on roof that I did not access prior to completing mission or others and find it strange that I could not access the terminal to try again. What is that glitch about. Other terminals I came across I could not access in game and I usually create a save and reload to fix minor glitches but it did not work with accessing terminals (level 16 intelligence, level 28). Something is buggy. Also found I can buy epic quick hacks at the netrunner sale place where you follow placide in voodoo boys mission and placide gives chicken to woman. The woman next to the chicken recipient sells netrunner (quickhacks) and I could purchase epic and uncommon quick hacks from her. I found a 13 intelligence hack point and still no joy.
Yeah I haven’t gotten any quick hacks let alone a legendary and I’m 50 street Cred and 32 level character but hopefully if I’m bugged they fix it
Not to mention the guards which freak the fuck out and call in bots. Your right just get all three lines and the one down stairs usually gives sick one everytime suicide, cyberphyscois, sonic shock, contingent, synapse overload.
My netruuner build got 6 legendaries with 12 int from that spot while my techie with 10 int didn't get even one. It's kinda frustrating

So is selling your spare hacks (those of lower or equal level to those equipped) from your backpack ok, or does that cause problems? I'm seeing hacking terminals as a decent source of money (especially if they patch the other stuff and I find Breach Protocols more fun than grinding soda cans), if you get all 3 Datamines you get ~$1500 in money with the perks, ~$1500 in components with the perks, and I'm wondering if Datamine Virtuoso would add to that further (after you get the hacks you need just treat it as extra money from access points). It may not be enough to justify a 100k reset, but if you plan to do one anyway (e.g. resetting other leveling perks like + crit when you expect to have over 100% crit at endgame) it would make sense.
Also it seems like selling quickhack components is probably better than using them to craft/upgrade hacks and then selling (does anyone know differently?).
Unfortunately with 1.11 any time I reload a save (manual, quick or auto) from within the game the game will CTD. If it's loaded first thing then likely, but not always, it will load fine. This makes the meta maneuver of saving and loading to get better items incredibly frustrating and takes about over a minute each time since I have to sit through the intro videos.
I have a regression problem. Thus far, I've had a legendary katana revert to epic and my ocular implant regressed to a single slot. FUUUUUUU!!!!!

Vending machines with no int have a chance to give legendary quickhacks, so I heard.
@@zKarma From my experience the legendary quickhacks drop with increasing difficulty of access points. If you are lowlevel you can only do this with 9/10 INT access points, but if you are high level you can get legendary quickhacks from any access point (if you are not glitched) as the breach difficulty seems to increase with your character level.

The bug from "The Gift" quest doesn't seem to occur to everyone. What it seems to do is incorrectly add the Ping quickhack to your backpack inventory but not your quickhack inventory. After that you don't seem to receive any quick hacks from looting or access points and I can't find away to remove/sell/dismantle it. I had the datamine virtuoso perk maxed and looted 50+ access points and not a single quickhack. What I did notice was at the end of the list where it shows your rewards when you exit the access point there would be an empty space where it seems another reward was supposed to be but it was always blank. I reset my perks and didn't invest in that perk again and no longer see the empty space. Probably wait until CDPR fix the bugs a little more and start a new character.
Already done that. I mentioned in the video that I have a diff character with both pings (!) in my backpack. That's not a bug. The only reason why they're in your backpack is because you have other pings. Look, go sell all of your ping quickhacks to a vendor and then check cyberdeck, now it will be in your inventory. You can equip it but you'll still have the glitch.
I don’t know if I actually got rid of my exclamation ping, or what happened but I had it, tried to use upgrade my ping to the next lvl and couldn’t so I crafted another green and then crafted the blue, and my (!) was gone. ?? So either I managed to get rid of it that way or maybe I still have it but can’t see where it went ?
This might be the fastest way, but still requires 10 Intelligence. If you do this high level instead you can get legendary quickhacks at any access point - even the ones with low INT requirement. So even with only 3 intelligence you can get all the legendary quickhacks. For some builds this might be more prefered, when these aim to get legendary Short Circuit just for the passive.
12 intelligence needed for the perk.

@@Hopalongtom Then your save was probably also glitched. A read in the offical forum that taking the perk fixes the "no quickhacks" bug for some people.
On my first Playthru I went the Net Runner route. Using 90% quick hacks and a silent revolver. On my second Playthru I’m going berserk mode. No hacks at all and the highest difficulty. I’m only level 15 and I’m destroying everything. I’m also level boosting to maximize my character and build potential.
Havent had that issue but I aquired quickhacks including ping before going to grab the gift. That's what I'd advise skip the gift mission till you have ping from alt source then do the gift
That may be the solution because in a previous playthrough I did not do the gift (I did but did not complete it and it stilled showed not done) and I got legendarys at lower level (12 intelligence) and street cred, but recent playthrough I completed gift and could not get legendary or ANY OTHER quickhacks (even with virtuoso perk.

I apparently have this glitch as well as the legendary clothing glitch.. as convenient as digital is it is ruining the game industry, remember when you bought a game off the shelf fully functional without a day one patch.. I remember when I thought being a bata tester would be the coolest job.. never thought they would just start selling at the bata level and make us all the testers... rip that career path if taken..😞
The weird thing is that it's not a consistent bug. I can get green ones from access points all day long. Tried this on a few different playthroughs. On one of them I bit the bullet and respecced to be able to craft them and didn't even get the crafting specs for the legendaries that way. Also couldn't get them to drop from farming VDB's. The closest I could get was the detonate grenade and suicide both in epic form - THOSE however I was getting on probably a 10% drop rate or so from farming VDB's. This is my 3rd try and even after hacking probably about 50 access points on my level 6 character before I've even taken the job for The Heist, I'm still not getting anything more than uncommons. I just want to know how I can determine 100% if a current game playthrough is bugged or not as early as possible.
I was also thinking, that the "Gift Ping" might be the problem. I am on my 2nd playthrough, now. On my 1st I could not get any quickhacks from access points at all, but I always had the "Gift Ping" equipped.
On my 2nd playthrough, because I could not get any on my 1st, I just used the console to give myself all legendary quickhacks, unequipped the "Gift Ping", unsing the legendary variant and now I get quickhacks from access points all the time.
After watching your video, I just got the idea, that maybe having the "Gift Ping" equipped vs not could be the problem. As you want to do more testing anyways, maybe you can test this as well.

i wish it was that simple. i thought you were onto something but i did some testing and i was able to get a quickhack from an access point while that ping was equipped. it seems the only workaround is to start a new character and hope for the best
So I've done the gift in every play through and got legendary hacks at the higher intelligence level just like you said. Except this last play through that I'm in at this moment. Don't understand why I don't get them on this last one!
I also noticed that I can't upgrade those special hacks like the ping from the gift. I found a purple one somewhere, don't know where, but I can't also craft a green one so I could upgrade it like I did the others to legendary. Don't know why I can't craft a green one??? Can't upgrade that purple one either.
So this was one of the first missions i had to do early in game. Im sure i have the ping with the exclamation point did you not get the exclamation on your playtthru? I have yet to extensively test it out ob my current save file but i have been mildly hacking and haven't really seen any quickhacks of much. Hopefully im not bugged

Access point level 8 or 9 might have chances to drop legendary one as well and for epic one, just go to Pacifica and go through the fast leveling guide, killing the voodoo boys netrunner will always has a chance to drop the epic one
I am currently playing a glitched game (cant get quick hacks even with virtuoso at 100%) but found I can buy epic quick hacks (all of them) from the woman (sells netrunner gear) next to the woman that placid gives the chicken to (voodoo boys mission) for cheap. So at least I can get all the epic versions.
Does life path factor into it? In my Nomad playthrough it did work for me, but on another playthrough with Corpo, it didn't work. How about gender?

I have done this 12 runs doing three terminals at a time. I have not gotten one at all. Could this mean if I have an epic one already that would negate a legendary one?

[further update] I upgraded to my favorite CyberDeck and the one that produced the most leggos for me. I have yet to get a single legendary, whether at the 7th Hell or at zKarmaa's favorite terminals at the station. :(

Load save, not restart…but yes. If you don’t get the quickhack, reload the manual save you made and try again.
Cant find the place with 5 terminals for the life of me ....i go where the assault is with the cordened off area near the serial suicide gig...lost!
Its downstairs from where you sneak past the guards with the cordoned off area. I just jump up on the side and walk past the guards and then take a right through the doorway and go down the stairs to the area that has all the hack points (the one on the roof wont get you into a firefight).

Do u plan to play again after u finish the game? I am on my 3rd playthru. But I've actually done the prolog 5 times bc of the mess of the launch. That said its definitely more rewarding to just play that game as is and next run u can plan ahead.

There are access points that can give legendaries regardless of intelligence and level. Two are located inside the gig "An Inconvenient Killer", a bar in the city center area.

MAYBE... the problem is the Intelligence/ Datamine/ Mastermind... After you have doubled up there: 100% more COMPONENTS you get no more quickhacks. Just tried at 50% components and still got a rare quickhack in an old save.

i got 5 legendary quick hacks but i got system Reset , Sonic Shock, OverHeat , Contagain, Suicide, didn't get Cybersychosis , but whatever not going to keep trying .... 5 is fine

I can't get any legendary hacks on xb1, only blue and green.
This is my 4th play through (first was totally glitched so I tried again)
In each of the first 3, i used the same cyberDeck. In this play through I am using Stephensen Mk 3 and I cannot get leggos to drop from terminals :(
Dunno if this is the cause. but perhaps with the people getting the glitch we can find a commonality
Hmm interesting...My netrunner build had a raven micro when doing this, got 6 legendaries, my techie build on the other hand was using a stephenson mk.2 and I couldn't get any quickhacks from that spot, not even a single one after countless attempts. gonna try another cyberdeck now, maybe stephenson's are bugged or something and if that doesn't help then I just gonna cheat my legendary short circuit. tired of this shit...

Just a heads up, a lot of the passive effects given by legendary quickhacks cause EXTREME fps drops once you use quickhacking on enemies.
I'm guessing pc only, my hacker build on PS4 Pro had no issues.

It did not. Tested it after completing "The gift". Tried it several times without the perk "Datamine Virtuoso", then tried it several times with the perk (50% and 100% versions). Got nothing but components. Running the new 1.52, definitely still bugged. I'm on PS5, if platform plays a part, but I think the glitch is on all platforms since I first played it on Stadia initially (before 1.5)

I think you can access two early on without doing the serial suicide gig. One to the right of the securty room, and one in a shaft above the security room.

Serial suicide mission can't even be started if you don't heave enough street cred, side door to sneak in require 15 technical so this video is a bit misleading, that is why you start already inside, you didn't come to that place legit as so low level character. But it is my fault I should know better , you "guides" are like 80% correct.
Sorry partner... It does not work anymore... ALL you get is quickhack components, no more quickhacks themselves, of any kind. Shame version 1.05 changed that ??>
