I had never heard of Time Team before the pandemic, now I've watched it all at least twice.
Great to see Tony Robinson back on time team his enthusiastic presentation kept me interested for years and I still enjoy a frequent rewatch of older episodes 😊
I agree. Gus seems nice enough but he just doesn't have Sir Tony's enthusiasm or acerbic wit. I miss his banter with the archaeologists in the new series.
I look forward to watching these here on TH-cam. This American has gotten totally hooked on Time Team. I have watched every episode here on TH-cam (I'm also hooked on History Hit). I am mainly of English and Scottish ancestry, and am learning a lot about the history of my ancestors.

I have no issue with Gus hosting the new 3 day digs, but having Sir Tony back to host new documentaries and be the "mascot" of Time Team that is perfect with me, he didn't have to come back at all...

@@markuschampos5750 They have multiple digs going on in multiple locations headed by different people with many different obligations, the Greek Dig is not a 3 Day Dig, The Saxon Boat is not a dig but a reconstruction, The Expedition Crew are mini-digs....

So exciting! Please come to Norway and work with the most excellent team at NTNU Natural Science Museum! I think there is a very large viewership for Norwegian archaeology, in English, that isn't being met at the moment.
They did Norse boat burials in the first series (I think in Shetland if memory serves).
