12:49 this frame right here really shows just how good the animation was getting at that point. It’s subtle and easily missed that not only does twilight look mad, but you can easily tell. She’s also embarrassed. Which really goes a great way of conveying that her friends really screwed up at this point.
I can certainly relate to this. Meeting deadlines means a lot to me because it means my load of stress gets smaller and smaller. Though I don't go Twily-nanas when I'm stressed out, I still freak out just a little because needs aren't being met, and then another thing gets added until I just break down and admit I need help.

'Lesson Zero' is my go-to recommendation for people who are curious about the show, because there are no spoilers, it does a good job with all the main characters, and it shows how far the show can go. It also fixes the Letter to Celestia device from season 1.
See, this is why I relate to Twilight. I get riled up if I run late on an assignment or if I make so much as one mistake because I worry it might indicate that I am lazy or stupid. All of us have been where Twilight Sparkle has been, and a lot of content creators have been where Blissy has been. The moral is relatable and something lots of us need.

yeah, relate way too hard to this situation too. One of the worst things I've experienced lately is getting good feedback, then getting stuck on how to act on it.
The best advice I can give you is to be polite and respectful to the commentator who gave you the good feedback. That's pretty much what I tend to do quite often.

This episode, it was this very episode which I cemented myself a brony. Ages ago I heard of MLP:FiM as it's hype train chugged along, avoiding like the Plague, mainly because the last time I gave into hype it was Twight (and not the pony). But a good friend of mine said 5 episodes, give it 5 episodes. So I did, and then at 3am I had just seen Lesson Zero amd was frantically looking for the next episode not knowing until a bit later it was the most recent. So thank you Bliss, for this gracing me recommend and recemeting my love for this show.
Looking back at this episode, I FEEL so much closer to Twilight than before and I am so glad, and maybe worried, that she is my favorite Gen 4 and Mane 6 pony. Bliss you are amazing in all you do, the love and care you put into all your projects and videos is why you will never lose us. Take breaks, breathe, drink water, and hug your friends.
I honestly still laugh whenever I see those Accidental Alicorns in the background now, especially since it's a key part to one of the arcs in one of my fanfics 😂
not gonna lie this remains me of the current projects I have going on. From sewing outfits for my nephews' build a bears that I got them to knowing for a fact that I have several unfinished artworks that I've put off cause of art block or simply because the idea of what I have for the piece is gone and lost in the pile of file of ideas that I have in my mind, to my daily chores around the house. So much to do and yet most of my projects I have been in a current mind set to do cause that's how I work and try to get the current task done. And it sucks when you're on a deadline and know that a project needs to be soon or else it'll be late. I spent 3 days working on an outfit for my nephew's build a bear that I got him for his birthday, today's his birthday, and I wanted to get this outfit perfect! I had the design for it pin in my mind and knew how it'll turn out, turned out even better when my mom give me a pair of old winter gloves to use I had cut off the sleeve part and sewn them to the shirt to make arm sleeves and the outfit in question turned even better! I was thankfully able to finish the gift in time but barely!
its been a while since i seen this episode. i will try to watch your review on it as soon as i can. if the internet runs good i should be able to watch it when it airs. but if not i will be sure to watch it when i can. i would do reviews on my little pony episodes and movies but i wouldnt be good at it.
I have experienced and am probably still experiencing similar issues, and I think the reason I'm still letting these issues get to me is because I can't remember the life lessons I've "learned" to help me deal with them (among other problems), because I can't remember words as well I can remember visuals and abstract concepts.

While I will always think of "Lesson Zero" as one of Twilight's craziest episodes. It certainly does have it's share of memorable moments! The part where Fluttershy gives a massage is one of my all time favorites, I love how they purposely made it look like Fluttershy killed the bear to mislead the younger viewers! And like everyone else, I can't get enough of the insane facial expressions that lesson zero twilight made in the episode. They are both creepy and hilarious at the same time. But Twilight is indeed also somewhat relatable in this episode, Because for some people deadlines can be serious especially when it comes to jobs because depending on the individual and what their job is, Missing one single important deadline could cause the very end of their career.
I guess I'm too late commenting 6 months after, but... yeah, this episode, even though I feel like it's standing on thin ice, I also think it's fantastic. And yet, how much it means to me personally, is somehow on a whole another level (idk if it's my favorite of the show... it's hard to compare it with something like Amending Fences or Hurricane Fluttershy). I will say that, imo, Twilight's lesson goes even deeper than most people present it. More general than being about deadlines and stressing over that, it's about school-like formality (including grading systems... especially that) and how that is not the most important thing. Sure, it has some importance which can't be overlooked, but the episode does a great job characterising Twilight in a way that the problem is indeed with her perception and the values she asigns to "certain variables", while still making her relatable (I think the show fully realizes all the strengths of the medium of animation for that thin line). Twilight is a character who, as a person, naturally grows and thrives around that system, that's part of her personality and there is noting inherently wrong with that (I'm a lot like that). However, such personality can be prone to (simplified, but still fine enough phrase) "taking the system too seriously", which is why the lesson in this episode is so important not only to Twilight, but to lots of viewers (myself included) as well. And well... let's just say that I've been there a lot of times over my highschool and college years.
Lesson 0 was the first episode i watched when i was a young individual waiting for my foljs to be done with christmas lights just channel surfing. I saw fluttershy "beating up" a bear and was hooked.
As a TH-camr myself, I sympathise with you, Bliss; I feel committed to my fans but also have to remind myself that youTube isn't my actual job but something I do for fun and a way to detox after a hard day or week.
Well now we wait for Doc’s video with Lightning and Maddie on his channel. Also, I’m glad I don’t fear over every single detail. I’m more of a “just go with the flow” kinda guy.
I’ve heard it theorized that this episode takes place shortly after Return Of Discord, which is why Twilight leans *heavily* into the Lawful part of Lawful Good in this episode and her sanity frays more easily than usual.

I’ve heard it theorized that this episode takes place shortly after Return Of Discord, which is why Twilight leans *heavily* into the Lawful part of Lawful Good in this episode and her sanity frays more easily than usual.
this was a really good video. its been a while since i seen this episode. i wish i could do animation the way you guys do animation. i have tried so many times but i never get any better at it. sometimes i just think i should give up on doing animation. but i will see what i can do.
