  • ‘The premise of white privilege assumes people of ethnic minorities need a helping hand. It’s quite racist in itself.’

I’m a white female, and I can tell you that I grew up in poverty with no special privilege . My mother abandoned us and my father worked sometimes night and day to raise 4 kids. I came to Canada as an adult, and was able to eventually go to collage and get a good job. Nothing came easy because I’m white.

I am an American black woman. I am SO SO SO sick and tired of all this! Black people, get ON with it. It's the 21st century for goodness sake. Lincoln signed the "papers" almost 200 years ago! To whomever fits the shoe, the PRIVILEGE of being black and unaccountable is one of the most "touchiest" things everybody is afraid to say. I come from hardworking folk that taught me (60's childhood) that NOTHING is OWED to me and if I WANT it, WORK for it. It being easy's got nothing to do with it. The history of everybody on this planet has been a history of conquering or being conquered. Black people, stop acting like we're the ONLY group who get to stay on our knees and cry about it. It's embarrassing. Get ON with it. Every other earthling has to. NO white person alive has steered a slave ship; NO black person alive has been on one. Enough! Thank God I raised my two boys 40 years ago.

You're a wise lady, bless your heart. I would just like to further add to the point that slavery isn't even about race, it's about abuse of power over more vulnerable people. But it's always been a part of human history. It's always wrong, and horrible. And unfortunately there still is slavery, even today. We should all get over things like race, and address the actual problems.

    • @patbuckley4039

Two cents you needs to review your online name to something more fitting of your amazing outlook. You're a champion of the human race.
I'm a white 63 year old man who has like you had a hard working life, never once claimed social support and proud to be me.
I need to edit this as I need to also comment on another post, re read and get it right.
      OK I'm back.
Baalaaxa wrote," Slavery isn't about race, it's about abuse of power over more vulnerable people. But it's always been a part of human history". How true.
Fast forward to today. The very same thing is happening to every single one of us.
It has a new "ism" name.
Globalism. It's the 1% enslaving the 99% into a world that is against every natural law every decent human being abides by of which one is do no harm.
People, please put aside this race, privilege & gender B💩. If we don't stand together now against our greatest "ism" threat to humanity and push back we all will be loosers.
Globalists want population reduction, no matter what or who you are.
Covid, the man engineered disease diliberately released as an experiment to see how easily humans can be controlled through fear. And it worked for the majority except for the few who remain unvaccinated. Climate crisis is their other fear tactic.
There is no climate crisis. The weather is exactly the same today as it was back in 1965 when I was a 5 year old. Hot in summer & cold, wet & miserable in winter.
Look what Trudeau did to the truckers and their supporters, turned them into non beings by shutting down their ability to bankng services.
I could go on and on, 15 minute cities, digital Id's, cbdc's.
We're all heading to modern day slavery at the hands of the globalist 1%.
      Band together globally,
as brothers, sisters and take down the likes of Klaus Schwab, king Charles, Bill Gates and their Davos buddies which include leaders of almost every country of the world.
      Please keep this in mind.
When the people fear government, that's tyranny.
When government fear the people that's DEMOCRACY.
Be safe and stay well out there.

Nope, raise them to recognize propaganda and how media is full of it. Show how the media weaponizes sjw buzzwords to use to attack white countries while letting actual crimes against humanity to go unpunished in non-white countries. Then follow the money and see how the media promoting this profits from that narrative. Then it's easy to see through the propaganda and counter it. 👏
I'm a bit young to have kids but when I do I plan on telling them "you see how those people coming from countries that have the worst human rights records and have zero human rights laws? Never tolerate them for a minute when they scream discrimination here. Because if they actually cared about discrimination they would be improving rights in their own countries. Instead when questioned on their anti discrimination laws they get violently hostile because they hate being called out. Aways remember that these people have zero issue with the rampant discrimination in their own countries but will try and weaponize our laws in their favour to claim like they are somehow victims. You see how they are hired just for being a foreigner here? They would never do that for you or anyone else in their home countries because anti discrimination laws and diversity hires dont exist there."
      Easy. 👏

While the Tories have traditionally been more honest about this, today's left is no better. There in NO SUCH THING as white privilege. There was less racism in 90s and early 2000's then there is now. Even after 9/11, although certain elements of racism did increase, it is nowhere near as bad as it is now. The reason for this increase is f**king divisive strategies such as blm and CRT.

My late father was the manager of a large, busy store in London. When, after giving her several warnings, he fired an Indian woman for her poor performance; she responded by saying he had acted out of racism. Despite there being no other evidence to support this, (and, incidentally, my mother was born in India) he was put on leave and suffered greatly for several weeks, until it was discovered that this woman had a history of using her skin colour against corporations to get what she wanted. My father was offered his position back but declined out of disgust.
That was the moment I knew that white folks aren't privileged but folks of other skin colours sure are. A white guy doesn't get into college and it's their fault for not working hard enough to get the right grades. A black guy doesn't get into college and suddenly it's racism. It's amazing how racism has become both the shield and sword wielded by minorities against white folk, and they've been allowed to get away with it. It's only going to get worse.

There definitely is such a thing as unconscious bias. Humans have millions of them, we need to be able to spot patterns and make snap judgements for our survival, and that extends to people. But to look at a country in which racial discrimination is both outlawed and culturally detested, and say everyone there is a racist, you have to be a liar or an idiot. To say a white person must be racist on the basis of their skin colour is in itself racist. It's almost like the most racist people in the West are actually the woke, and they're projecting their vile thought patterns onto the normal people.

MSM and the race baiters must be pooing themselves, seeing this type of level-headed discussion.

I was working with my disabled clients at a dance and a indigenous person came to me and we were talking about a client. I thanked her for her info as my niece is Metis and perhaps this info can help her. Well, she took a great conversation and turned it racist as I am a colonizer you see...I corrected her as politely as I could as like I said we were at a dance with disabled people and she just had to be political. This has happened to me in multiple setting about how they literally take advantage of victimhood, use colonizer and get what they want....division and chaos to make a quick buck

People need to start asking the question, IF racism, sexism and homophobia is getting worse… well, we’ve been dealing with it for generations now, everyone’s had some form of D&I training, every business seems to have a department dealing with it… it’s in education, the legal system, the media, law enforcement, government
… so if it’s getting worse maybe we should ask if what we’re doing is right, not doubling down on the stuff that is not simply failing but actually making things worse.
