    Forgot to mention my Gopro 11 witch i use on top of my camera in order to film the BTS.
    I dont travel with drones because they take a lot of time to setup and i cant be bothered to fly one.
    And if i feel like im going to use a Tripod i take this one with me : amzn.to/3MMlHkI
    If you have a nice travel tripod , let me know :)

    Nice overview of your travel setup Illias. The DX Nikon (Z50 in my case + 16-50mm) makes a great city-travel setup I enjoy using and great results are possible, as you pointed out. Recently I’ve decided on using my Z6ii and 24-200mm zoom for a far away trip and that was a real winner for me with the tele adding compositional options! However at significant compromise in weight and size, as can be expected… but I was super happy with that combo too.

    • @IliasKoureas
      @IliasKoureas  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's amazing mate! By bringing with a super zoom like that , you can basically leave behind the standard kit and an extra telephoto zoom. So it kinda compromises itself 🥂
      What are your thoughts on the 24-400 which got announced recently?

    • @skattejag
      @skattejag 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 28-400mm is interesting for sure! But if I need more than 200mm I like a dedicated tele lens (I use an FTZ-adapted 200-500mm), mainly for wildlife and occasionally sports. For general travel the 24-200 beats the 28-400 at the short end (24 vs 28mm), aperture (f6.3 vs f8 at 200mm) and of course weight, size and cost too!

    Yet another nice video man. I agree with you about the Viltrox 85mm F1.8. It can be tricky sometimes because it can really turn those backgrounds into butter.

      Thanks brother!I use it all the time for my pro work , but for traveling we have to be careful with these telephoto portrait lenses. I've seen people far to many times posting images with the main part of the city being out of focus 😂

    My partner and I did a road trip across the South Island of New Zealand. I took only two cameras, my Olympus OM-D E-M5ii, and my Olympus Tough TG-6. For lenses I mainly took my 12-40mm f/2.8 (Pro), 14-150mm f/4-5.6, 25mm f/1.8, and my Samyang 7.5mm f/3.5 Fisheye lens.
    Full Frame Equivalent for the lenses would be 24-80mm f/5.6, 28-300mm f/8-11.2, 50mm f/3.6, and 15mm f/8.

    My camera nikon z50 and 24mm -> 35mm equivalent is enough for travel. Maybe 50-250mm if I feel like shooting wildlife. A small cleaning kit and im ready. As minimal as it gets.

    • @IliasKoureas
      @IliasKoureas  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Clean travel kit 💪 I'd throw the kit lens in there just for the wider images and because of how small it is but if the 24mm is enough for you I can respect that. I've traveled with only my 23mm many times so I understand how good this focal length is 🤙

    • @gp6367
      @gp6367 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Only in inside spaces I feel the 24mm is too tight and maybe in some market. I used to use the 16-50mm lens that came with the camera but after traveling in cuba for 1.5 month with my 24mm lens I felt it was sufficient for 99% of the cases.

      I do hope nikon gives more attention to dx line with new camera (weather proof) and other focal lengths. I recently starting considering fujifilm or olympus for lightweight and weatherproof combinations

      I hope they do. nikon z50 sooner or later will need an upgrade due to usbc eu law. I think there is need for more lenses for aspc. Personal I need weather sealed primes. I will probably wait until mid 2025. Otherwise I'm going to switch to another system

    Really nice video as always :D
    You've almost convinced me on my next gear upgrade with the K&F Concept backpack. I'm debating rn between the Viltrox 75 1.2, or backpack + TTArtisans 10mm + some filters.
    I was wondering why choosing the Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 over the Nikon 24 f/1.7. Being the second way more compact and super sharp.
    Also, what happened with the Viltrox 75 f/1.2? I supposed that despite being a bit bulkier than the 85mm, the quality is still better. Do you still have that one or are you trying to get more FF lenses having now the Z5?

    • @IliasKoureas
      @IliasKoureas  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Choose wisely haha 😂 the only reason I'm using the viltrox 23mm over the Nikon 24mm is the better autofocus. In every test that I did the viltrox was focusing better and more accurately. But yes the Nikon has better image quality (it you pixel peep) and is smaller 💪
      About the portrait lenses. I hold my 85mm because I can use it on my z5 on weddings and other jobs. If Nikon release's a pro apsc camera I might sell all my full frame gear. And yes at this point I would also get the 75mm 1.2 which is the best portrait lens for apsc.
      But for now I'm sticking with the 85mm.

    • @alzaleches
      @alzaleches 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@IliasKoureas ooops, my bad, I was pretty convinced you had the 75 f/1.2 that's why I asked 😅.
      I'm feeling the same about the Pro APS-C. I'm not a professional at all but i would gladly get some more advanced features than what I currently have with the Z50 such as IBIS.
      BTW I've come across recently with videos saying the latest Yongnuo 85mm 1.8 is supper sharp and very affordable, you may want to take a look at it 👀
