Awesome video. I’m trying to do my 2019 Honda Pioneer 500 turn signal kit and horn . I have so many wires already previously from the winch and from bar light and 2 pubs the wires are so freaking long is a mess . I suck at this . I should just take it to the dealer to do it right
Great video Buddy. Your absolutely right I spent an entire afternoon just running the rear taillight harness to the front of the vehicle. Definitely requires lots of patience.
My father-in-law I think just bought a 2024 model they looked into this. They were quoted $2100 for the kit and labor 900 for the kit 1200 for the labor when they asked why so much in labor they tried to explain to them it is the way the wires have to be ran. I’m all people doing things themselves. They make no mistake of that, but there is a reason they’re charging you so much labor to try to do this job.
Ya, I do not doubt that at all. In my opinion, XTC makes the best kits and is spot on! Their kit runs like $340, and then it takes about 8hrs on the ground or probably around half that or less with a lift and helper. It is plug and play, which really makes it simple for a DIY with minimal technical knowledge.
Anytime I've ran wiring (winch and backup lighting) I've ran it from the front to the back. Easier to have wires go down. I've got a signal kit from another company and it would be a huge PITA to run back to front because the bundle has a large connector on the front end of the loom.
Additionally, with this brand, if you ran reverse, you would have a very large bundle of wire that you have to route through tight spots. I.e. the turn signal right/passenger side bundle that is not able to be quickly disconnected. When running from the rear to the front, you only have the main harness, which is much easier to snake and just simply put much easier and makes much more sense. I would say it probably depends on the brand and how they connect to each corner and then integrate into the module.
I got it all installed on my 2021 honda pioneer 1000-5 and I am not super mechanically inclined but I took my time. My issue is I don't know how to hook the power into the fuse box? I tried directly to the battery but that does draw because the lights on the switches are on no matter what. Any suggestions?
Hello, It must be wired to one of the accessories wires at the fuse box. Those are on the key side of the accessories. In the instructions, it tells you which wire to tap. Only on the new 2023 Honda changed the colors of the wires, so the instructions do not apply for the newer pioneer. Or you can add a secondary accessories fuse block and wire that to the accessories side of the key.

I hear you, but absolutely not the case with this brand. It would be 10 times worse to attempt to run from the front back.

Can you provide a link to the light bar kit you put on?
It's a XKGlow w/ XKGlow mounting brackets. It's controlled by app...it's very cool and ridiculously bright!
@@arboyd81Thank you! Thanks for the video!

What tires are those?
Sorry for the delayed response. They are 10 ply Gladiator X COMP ATR.
Hello Are you interested in testing products? We would like to invite you to test the soft roof for your 2023 Honda Pioneer 1000-5
I would definitely be interested in doing so. I like my hard roof, but weight savings is very much a concern! Let me know. Thanks!
@@arboyd81 Thanks, may we know your email? We will send the details.
@StarKnightMT just sent you an FB message, but I made a mistake and said you contacted me on IG.
