You broke my heart as a child as I saw you as a role model and then you were gone. I was alone but loved your music and it gave me strength. When you turned away from it I was heartbroken. Or course I've forgiven you and wish you all the best. This is one of my.favourites along with Foreigner.

Cat was always so clearly exceptional at his music. This is a perfect example. I loved growing up listening to him and now realize how fortunate I was to do so. So many great memories come back to me when I hear these songs.

Yusuf/Cat, you are such a huge part of my life. I love everything you have ever done. Even living in North America back then, I hunted down the LP Matthew and Son. I was a huge fan of your last couple of albums before you left, and I never understood why they didn’t get the accolades the rest did IzItSo and Back To Earth were awesome and had so many great songs. I even learned the words to O Caritas! so I could sing along, even though I had no clue what language it even was. It’s not like we had the internet back then. 😊 This and Road To Find Out just always struck a nerve in me, something really deep, special, and that feeling is still there to this day. Thank you for everything! 🙏💕 I understand that you live in Dubai now. I have some musician friends there and I hope to visit some day.

i was listening to you in the early 70s and still do, played your albumns and sung your songs while playing my guitar. this song has special meaning as it fitted my sisters life and was played at her funeral, she was in her early 40s...really beautiful song

I wonder how many excellent songs Cat wrote by 1970. The musicians that stand out to me after 50 decades are those who could write music , sing their lyrics, but also play guitar and piano both. The piano in this was amazing. All at such a young age is astounding. I can only think of one other who achieved that. My highest compliments.

This is without a doubt my favourite Yusuf/Cat Stevens song and in general one of the most important songs in my life. From the first time I heard it, the melody, the lyrics just everything about it was so profound and perfect.
