Dick is surprisingly well-informed about what caused the conflict. I remember videos of Russians in Donetsk being murdered by Ukrainians in 2014.
The only thing he didn't mention is how Russia has been working for years to become independent from the International Finance Capital Cabal, and bad things tend to happen to countries that do that. See the October Revolution, 1930s Germany, Iraq, Libya, etc. Iran is the only one that seems to have come out alive, and they have other problems of the sort still around.
Without having watched the episode yet, and just reading your comment, somehow makes me think is about as well informed about the Ukraine conflict as the average american....

The immediate Ukraine stuff wasnt even directly about NATO expansion, but about Russia fucking up for 10+ years in Ukraine. The whole "NATO fucking with Russia" bit sound like right out of Putins Propaganda, which anyone with the slightest bit of knowledge about geopolitics should understand.

"Putin bad" is about as objective as it gets; that guy is a powerhungry dictator thats out of his depths, and people pay with their life for his ineptitude. The only reason russians liked him was because he brought stability to the post soviet chaos and economy. Now hes the biggest source of conflict in europe, while the russian economy is crashing.
Theres nothing left, that guy is a cancer both to Europe and to Russia. And the Ukraine invasion cant be justified either way, Russia literally has to make up reasons for the attack.

Ukraine had no plans to join NATO until after Russia illegally annexed Crimea. Also, sections of a country cannot vote themselves to be invaded and annexed by another country. That’s not how sovereignty works. If multiple different counties across the southern states wanted to join Mexico, it wouldn’t give Mexico the right to invade the US and claim those territories. We would never allow that in our own country, but I guess it’s easy for people to allow it in other countries on the other side of the planet when the only way it affects you is in spending US tax dollars. Never mind the fact that it’s wrong by our very own standards and it allows for an opposing global power to claim more power and land by conquest. Dick’s views are fucked and Vito didn’t do any research to justify his arguments.

Flip flops are extremely popular here in brazil, it is used everywhere by everyone, they are comfortable and cheap as fuck, they give a laid back feeling. And the sensation of having a good flip flop that you had for a while and breaks is fucking horrible.
