Unemployed for almost 4 years, never a day without food or shelter, no husband, my son and I and Jesus, we are a majority! I recycle my clothes, add a scarf here and there, keep my shoes clean and everything looks brand new. Folks can't understand how I still look as good as I do and I smile too and none of it is fake because when I need to cry, I cry. How much I say 'thank You Lord for Your blessings on me!'

My greatest blessing was/is and will always be the time i received Jesus as my Lord and Savior back in 2010.Thank you Lord.
When I seperated from my wife in 2009 I had to learn how to survive on a single income once again and it wasn't easy. That first Easter being on my own, I fixed me some black eyed peas and a can of spam, and that was my Easter dinner.
One night I was watching a video of Jeff and Sheri Easter singing that song and tears came to my eyes. Just a reminder that as long as you put your faith in God and do what you can do to help yourself, you have got so much to be thankful for.

I have soooo much to be thankful for....there was a time in my life that I didn't have a roof over my head or shoes on my feet, or even food on my table. You see, I allowed my addiction to consume me, my life was no longer mine. But my, my, my, what an AWESOME God we serve. Can I tell you, any sin can turn into a life consuming mess. But praise God, HE loves to turn a mess into a message!!! One that honors and glorifies Him!!! Thank you Lord for ALL your blessings on me!!!

April 2021, playing for my blind and deaf son...who I am teaching to play piano
I listen to this song when i need inspiration and when i am feeling down. i first heard this song when my grandmother was listening to it on cassette about a month or two ago. i have been hooked ever since. i love singing along. i would like to sing in a gospel group one day. i listen to this song probably at least 5 times a day. coming from a background of jail and drugs. I will have the honor and privilege to sing this song Sunday night (11/20/2011) for our community Thanksgiving service. I hope the message of the song blesses each person who attends. I've always felt that, even though I don't have much money, as long as I have a roof over my head, clothes to wear and food to eat, then I'm rich!

This song HAS to be the greatest rebuttal towards the Prosperity Gospel, HANDS DOWN!! It proves that all believers will not be rich! No matter how much tithes and offerings we give! No matter HOW much financial seeds we sow into a certain ministry!! No matter much faith we may have! It is God who decides whether we'll be rich or poor or just comfortable enough to pay our bills and keep a roof over our heads! He knows what each of us needs!! He knows that if He blesses some of us with millions of dollars we'd lose our way! That's why Jesus taught us to say "Give us this day our daily bread"!
