I have both the Hunters and the Hunted but what I love about this one is the large array of medals that can be awarded. Just wish there was that kind of variety in the Hunters as it really adds to the story and your game goals.
Buying it - made some research and this one is for me. The hunted has too much errata still. Will maybe preorder The Med one - seems a very fresh topic. Thank you for the review.
Thanks to your videos. I picked up 3rd ed of The Hunters 39-43 recently and currently reading rules and viewing play throughs. Something different for me (solitaire designed and submarine themed) and looking forward to it. I like the idea of this series as it adds variety via the different theaters of naval warfare thus keeping this system somewhat fresh. If it's a hit with me I will be expanding to this (Silent Victory) next, the 4th series (mediterranean) and finally the Hunted 43-45 for an even harder challenge. I wonder if Mr. Gregory Smith would consider a surface ship version of this system where you command a destroyer ship looking for or escort ship defending against U-Boats thus fighting on the other end of the spectrum? TY again for causing me to spend more and more on these games ;-)
Great video, if you like this game you should definitely check out GMT P500 listing Wolfpack. It is a simulator placing you in charge of a single submarines in a Wolfpack of a solo game or four player co-op Wolfpack. I placed my order last month and the games already moved to final art work and I think this one will be a great crossover between solitaire and co-op gaming.
Bought and learning this game now! I may have to get “The Hunted/Hunters” now too! And I see another one..... Beneath the Med. It’s the Italian subs!! I’m going to be broke here, shortly 😁
