I just tried your ideas and it worked. I had tried the unplug method and new cables and my computer always saw the connection but the TV did not. So I pulled it off the the wall and set it aside now two days later I saw your video and tried again and this time Thank God it worked. And I'm sending a couple bucks sorry can't do more than that.
This is so frustrating. After the "Diagnostic" my Samsung TV says that there's a problem with my cable and to try a different cable, well, not only a different cable doesn't work either, but BOTH cables are working just well upon testing on another TV. I don't know what else to do.
We spent ages unplugging and replugging different HDMI cables into our Samsung tv trying to get it to recognise the HDMI output for our sound bar. Cold boot fixed it instantly. Thank you!
Pretty sure updating the firmware is what caused my recent intermittent HDMI detection issues on my Samsung TV lately. Extremely annoying. If thats what caused it I'm not buying another Samsung TV they can suck it lol.
Samsung TV is currently showing it's on HDMI 2 channel 17 when I turn it on. My cable is on HDMI 3..since the current channel the tv is on is not supported by anything...it will not make any changes or allow me to change the current HDMI and channel....so frustrating..any help appreciated!!
My Samsung 'Smart' TV is anything but. Ambient mode, whilst working fine for three years now doesn't work properly. It is impossible to remove/reset the HDMI cable without removing the TV from the wall. As it is a 75 inch TV this is major logistical process, and impossible for one person. Can't plug in a USB stick to download software for the same reason just stated. What a load of cr*p. It even has the audacity to have a 'smart features' option in the settings! I'm sure their definition of 'smart' is not the same as mine!
My Samsung 32 inch TV doesn't have any buttons that I can find. I get the HDMI problem when I use the Samsung remote, but have been able to get the TV working with a Claro generic remote, though a couple of buttons don't work (Sleep, Input), and getting the TV to shut off is a bit tricky. Neither the Samsung or the Claro remote can find anything like diagnostics. I've returned it to factory specs at least once.
Just bought a brand new 2023 Samsung 75 qled for the last week I've been getting a no signal issue via hdmi arc input ... brand new qed hdmi lead pushed in correctly tried everything suggested and still getting issues ...
If this is happening from new and you're sure that the device you're plugging in is working correctly (tested with another TV), then I would just return it and get a replacement.
mine Samsung tv problem is that im using TV as PC's monitor... it seems works fine but everytime im swithing to other hdmi device (like from hdmi1 to hdmi2) i cant back to pc hDMI.. it shows no device :) i need restart pc and it catch again the signal...
My tv is stuck on hdmi 2, when I switch to hdmi it only shows port 2 of the 4 but no signal goes through on port 2 or the others. Tv works on vga and rca, but hdmi stays on 2 the others disabled and no input from any hdmi device. When I press source it shows hdmi 2 available even though no device is connected
I wish you could turn ARC off. I want my audio through my receiver and my 5.1 Klipsch system (that I sent a fortune on) I basically want the TV to be a monitor.
My Samsung hates that I have multiple hdmi devices plugged in. I have 4 hdmi 2.1 ports. 1)PS5 2)Series X 3) Samsung Soundbar in the E-Arc 4) Firestick. If I’m watching something on the firestick and try to turn on my Xbox, it says “source not available” and I have to go over and unplug the hdmi from the back of my Xbox and plug it back in so the tv will recognize it again. EVERYDAY!
It happens to me every once in a while, eventually i get it to work somehow, this last time i got a new hdmi cable making sure it supports arc and still had the same issue, but after disconnecting tv from outlet and reconnecting again it did the trick

I tested 3 monitors. The very old one, and two samsung TVs. Guess what? Both samsung can't read HDMI while the old junk can. The first Samsung TV can show asus logo, even boot menu but shows black on windows desktop. I'm out of words.
Mine worked perfectly recognizing my Onkyo (even adding the part number to the input) and then stopped working for no reason at all. I lost the abailty to use a BluRay, Nintendo Switch and an Xbox. I should have spent more money on a better TV.
Cant not understand that samsung have these issues. Never ever had these promblems as long hdmi or scart are on the market. Now my new samsung tv does not deteced hdmi signals. This happens almost every week with the xbox or other devices. Pff
couldn't fix my problem with your video but what helped for me was turning of hdmi uhd color fpr the port i wanted to connect my laptop with done this and now it gets a signal

The Samsung smart tv i have is about as smart as a box of rocks . High priced junk.
Same
I swear to god these things are fucking pieces of shit. $1000 tv and it can’t read a game system being plugged into an hdmi port. Unreal
Agreed

Step one did it. Thank you for creating this video 🙏

Did you leave the hdmi plugged in when you did the cold reboot?
My hdmi is still good but it cant recognise it,it says ‘turn on device power ' somethin like dat...can anyone help me?

Thank you. :)
Rebooting the TV did the job for us.
Thank you for this video. The "cold boot" method worked.

if I need to cold boot the tv.. doesnt mean that the problem is with the tv software instead of any hardware problem?
Yes, could be a software or hardware issue - need to find out which one.
Wii signal cannot be recognised by samsung crystal 65 tv even with brand new Wii to HDMI cable into HDMI port. Tv test says cable ok.
step one, cold boot. - immediately worked. Thank you sir!! wasn't powering off with my Apple TV remote. Samsung TV model UN65KS800DF

Holding the power button down on the remote works. But I just hope I don't have to be doing this every time. Ty
Cold boot! Of course! HDMI Arc surround sound is back on. Thanks!

What exactly is the problem?
If you look for your TV's manual samsung.com/support then you should be able to find diagnostic info.

Faulty welds of the port to board.
Thanks so much I had this happen for the first time on my samsung mu8000.
Cold Boot Fixed the problem thank you!
Samsung is utter junk. I can’t believe I’m having to deal with this. Power outage and now I can’t use it.

What kind of bullshit is this? I can’t even play my PlayStation.

That's probably not something you're going to find a good solution for, unless Samsung deal with it via a firmware update.
I'm looking at this same BS on my new Samsung TV. If I had known of this, I most definitely have not purchased it.
Why do you have multiple devices connected to 1 tv lmao. Just stick to 1 per tv

My AVRX6700H And Samsung S95B, Won't Come On Together, But Will Power Off Together??? Won't Power On Together??????
Probably the settings within your connected device are causing the problem.
