Christmas Fireplace Music

Merry Christmas! I'm doing an early upload of my annual Christmas concert this year! The shorter video is a duet of Sleigh Ride (I recorded one part, and then played along with myself.) I finally jumped on the bandwagon and produced a fireplace music video😁
In the past when I played music at church and concerts, I would often pride myself in my skill. But since Lupus, I have come to realize that I am not worthy of any credit. While I can practice and prepare, God is the one who allows me to worship and minister through my music. Because it is God who gives me flexible pain-free fingers when Lupus could have given me crippling joint pain. It is God who gives me each day of good health when I could be constantly sick and fatigued from viruses. It is God who gives me mental focus when my brain is foggy and slow. And it is God who gives me the desire and energy to fulfill my roles as a church musician and piano teacher. After having spent my whole life playing piano, there was a time when I went almost a year without the energy to sit on a bench let alone lift a finger to play. And yet, a year later, God gifted me the desire, the health, and the ability to play once more. “To God be the glory great things He has done.” Because in my weakness, His strength has become more important to me, He has become bigger in my life, and He shines more brightly through me.
