You just need to give them some time, they're handing out liscences like crazy right now because of lack of supply, so give it like a year or so and I think supply will finally outpace demand, and then prices will start to drop, competition will ensue and we'll start seeing better products for cheaper, same thing happened in Oregon and Colorado

Why is the packaging so disproportionally bigger than the product? Wouldn't it make sense to make the packaging as small as possible so that the weed nuggets don't bounce around so much and crumble?
They are probably doing this so they can mass produce bottles easier since the big container can contain varying amounts, if you had seperat countainers for each amount it would get alot more expensive in production since they would need to produce alot of different sized containers.

Just because he got some of the more mild stuff doesn't mean there isn't stronger stuff available. You can get some rather potent stuff if you are so inclined, not everyone who smokes weed wants the strongest get you fucked up stuff.
They probably realized that if they took 0.02g out of each gram that after 50 sales they saved a single gram and no one would notice because they think it's close enough or it's their scale's fault.

if you order a gram they send it to you in the same size bottle that 3.5 g comes in and usually they send you 7g in the same container that they would send you if your bought 14g, if you buy 28g of one strain they usually send you two 14g containers

can assure you, 99% of the weed that's come out of the government has been that bad. Two of my friends got the super sonic, one tried one toke, and then literally threw it out. The other took a sniff and threw it out as well. Same shit as what he got here, underweight, ugly, reeked. Overall disappointing.

Box.....I drill 2 inch holes and mount the fixtures (use single..outdoor light socket....they have a black and white wire coming out the end....to wire to your outlet cord from some old broken item with a plug.....I use 3 cfl's and 3 led's...and I offset them in the box.)........But, for Flowering I use A 500watt High Sodium as well as the others.....I can manage 3 to 4 ounces per Grow cycle for each Plant.....And, outdoors...I can get about a half Lb per Plant in the Summer. Be Well, and Have Fun....Remember...The Best Plants Start with The Best SEEDS!!!....Or, You can Find Clones around....I Like Doing it Myself....That way...I know Everything about my plants...start to finish.

A lot of people have to remember that weed does loose it moisture over time. When it was originally packaged it was exactly a gram. It just lost moisture over time.

The overkill packaging is government regulations... each brand has no say they must follow the rules. They aren't even allowed to do much branding aside from the company name. Canopy (Tweed) has began to put into motion a recycling system that will recycle packaging from any brand. The whole legalization in Canada was clearly rushed and overall isn't that great... but its the first step and I am excited to see changes and improvements in the future

One thing that's not being talked about much, is the fact that most (if not all) of the weed the Canadian government is selling on that website and elsewhere is old weed! It's old stock and old inventory. In some cases the weed was harvested 2.5 years before it makes it into a customer's hand. The places that produced the weed being sold on OCS, grow the weed in gigantic amounts. Hundreds of pounds at a time. And all that weed is just stockpiled. Some facilities freeze it while others just store it. And it could just sit for up to 2 years before it's finally sold. Don't get me wrong, even old weed can still get you high, but I'd rather buy fresh weed personally. Age can effect the color, smell, taste, texture, and potency. Most weed sold on the street is only about 6 to 8 months old max, by the time a pot head buys it. And sometimes it's even a lot less time than that. It's because the producers of weed sold on the street can get their weed in the hands of a dealer within days of the final cure. And it can be in the smokers hands that same day. The Canadian government is selling old weed. Literally, old weed. That's why it looks and smells so funny. Some containers have a packaging date, but that date is only when the weed was placed into that fancy packaging, it's NOT the date that the plant itself was harvested. Of course this is something the Canadian government doesn't go out of their way to tell people. They just have the attitude that "weed is weed". Though there's a big difference between old and fresh bud. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy Canadian government weed unless you absolutely had to. You're buying an inferior product at an inflated price.

can assure you, 99% of the weed that's come out of the government has been that bad. Two of my friends got the super sonic, one tried one toke, and then literally threw it out. The other took a sniff and threw it out as well. Same shit as what he got here, underweight, ugly, reeked. Overall disappointing.

Brownish, no fruity/citrus smell and smells almost like a damp shoe. It’s what most casual smokers seem to have in this country so it’s pretty normal for us lol. I had to look extra hard to find a quality dealer with quality bud. We don’t have medicinal bud, only a few cafes operating semi-legally.

@@vancemacd6315 ....You Can Get Some Pretty Good LED Lights on Amazon...For Pretty Cheap......Also, You can get started for really cheap by using CFL (The curly floresent bulbs) And 5000K LED BULBS...Min. 100watts...You can even find these at dollar stores......there are lot's of videos on you tube showing Grow box's with these lights producing pretty good yields......I use A White plastic garbage can...a big one and modify it into a Veg. Box.....I drill 2 inch holes and mount the fixtures (use single..outdoor light socket....they have a black and white wire coming out the end....to wire to your outlet cord from some old broken item with a plug.....I use 3 cfl's and 3 led's...and I offset them in the box.)........But, for Flowering I use A 500watt High Sodium as well as the others.....I can manage 3 to 4 ounces per Grow cycle for each Plant.....And, outdoors...I can get about a half Lb per Plant in the Summer. Be Well, and Have Fun....Remember...The Best Plants Start with The Best SEEDS!!!....Or, You can Find Clones around....I Like Doing it Myself....That way...I know Everything about my plants...start to finish.

A lot of people have to remember that weed does loose it moisture over time. When it was originally packaged it was exactly a gram. It just lost moisture over time.

The overkill packaging is government regulations... each brand has no say they must follow the rules. They aren't even allowed to do much branding aside from the company name. Canopy (Tweed) has began to put into motion a recycling system that will recycle packaging from any brand. The whole legalization in Canada was clearly rushed and overall isn't that great... but its the first step and I am excited to see changes and improvements in the future

As a Canadian who occasionally buys these i can tell you that there is totally too much packaging, but the weed quality varies on what you want. Just because he got some of the more mild stuff doesn't mean there isn't stronger stuff available. You can get some rather potent stuff if you are so inclined, not everyone who smokes weed wants the strongest get you fucked up stuff. I've seen a lot near the 30% mark.

One thing that's not being talked about much, is the fact that most (if not all) of the weed the Canadian government is selling on that website and elsewhere is old weed! It's old stock and old inventory. In some cases the weed was harvested 2.5 years before it makes it into a customer's hand. The places that produced the weed being sold on OCS, grow the weed in gigantic amounts. Hundreds of pounds at a time. And all that weed is just stockpiled. Some facilities freeze it while others just store it. And it could just sit for up to 2 years before it's finally sold. Don't get me wrong, even old weed can still get you high, but I'd rather buy fresh weed personally. Age can effect the color, smell, taste, texture, and potency. Most weed sold on the street is only about 6 to 8 months old max, by the time a pot head buys it. And sometimes it's even a lot less time than that. It's because the producers of weed sold on the street can get their weed in the hands of a dealer within days of the final cure. And it can be in the smokers hands that same day. The Canadian government is selling old weed. Literally, old weed. That's why it looks and smells so funny. Some containers have a packaging date, but that date is only when the weed was placed into that fancy packaging, it's NOT the date that the plant itself was harvested. Of course this is something the Canadian government doesn't go out of their way to tell people. They just have the attitude that "weed is weed". Though there's a big difference between old and fresh bud. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy Canadian government weed unless you absolutely had to. You're buying an inferior product at an inflated price.
