Good morning Dawn and Dave ☕☕☕
There's a reason you just can't have nice things 🙄😂🤣
    It happens..
We used to pick the big mowers up by the tongue, block the loader and get right to the blades.
    Cause and effect...dang!!!
BTW, you mentioned willows.. and soft ground.. willows hold water. They can make swamp out of desert..
I'd let you borrow a 1" air impact, but....
    Doing a nice job clearing!!!

Morning Ed. That’s interesting about willow holding water. I’m hoping that pasture will dry out so I can work the soil next summer and plant grass with a cover crop. It was hayfield 60 years ago…maybe again?

@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn we had a 56" willow in the back yard when we lived in town. Yard was a swamp year round.
Took it out and could mow the lawn in the summer.
I cleared 5acres along a pond spillway for a friend, he had farmed right up to the spillways before the willows took over. A strip of 5 acres along the willows was too wet to plant too.. the year I cleared it out for him, he planted up to the spillway again... It's amazing how much they hold!!!

I've broken a blade before too on ours....you sure know it in a hurry, nasty vibration. It sure has been a good winter for brushing...That will be nice getting more pasture ground, every mouthful of grass is a mouthful of hay you don't have to put up.....Thanks Dave.

Agreed. We spent a lot of time and money on that new perimeter fence and we need to get more grazing payback. It’s still mostly trees and brush.

Good reason to upgrade the stump jumper to a heavier one and change it to four blade

That’s a good idea: I wish I’d thought of it before replacing it.

Those things break quite a bit they work under such horrendous conditions. One thing I’ve had problems with is the hydraulic hoses snagging on something and ripping out.

Yeah I’m have the same trouble when I push through brush. I almost ripped one off a couple weeks ago.

I'm just relieved we don't blow snow every other day this winter. No worries. I'm sure we will have other brutal winters. Reminds me of a Gehl flail chopper finding rocks. Thank you Dave.

On that thought I have been waiting for a reservoir tank for a radiator for 7 weeks. I can't believe spare parts are so hard to come by.

I had a New Idea flail mower with the same blades. Lots of noise and sparks shooting forward😳. It made nighttime mowing after work more exciting.

Other than the trouble with the mower, looks like things are going quite well. Making progress.👍

Saturday morning coffee and then Dave is breaking stuff like a kid on Christmas morning…be a farmer they said,it’ll be fun they said!!!!!!!
I’ll keep an eye out for a D6 that is in good shape and low money!

A D6 is the right size with the wide tracks. I can’t believe how soft the ground is just a few inches down.

It's kind of funny that I asked about rocks in your last video about mowing the brush in the pasture. Luckily you were able to get things fixed up. Good video.

I think maybe you jinxed me!😅. No, actually I had broken the blade before editing the first one and broke the stump jumper while editing. It forced me to make two videos because I had too many clips.
