  • In this GIMP tutorial, I show you how to create a dripping portrait effect! The easy technique involves manipulating a photo so that it looks like your subject is dripping off the page. I show you how to remove the background of the photo you want to use for this tutorial, as well as how to create your own custom drip effect so you don't have to buy one off a stock website that doesn't fit your image. I also provide a free download to the drip path I use in the tutorial below.

Good video. I'm a GIMP newbie so it's taking time to absorb. I'm going to find your text drip tool to see how it would look to add the effect to text on a book cover. You need to redo this video for newbs and slow down about 50%. LOL. No, I understand you have a lot of steps to cover. I'll follow along with you and pause when I need to. Thanks.

Hello Michael, thanks a lot for all the tutorials you have made. You are the only person in the world who has made such exhaustive tutorials in english about GIMP. However just wanted to ask you is there any plugin for face liquify in gimp. I have already watched you video:
GIMP 2.10's Answer to Photoshop's Liquify Tool (Caricature Tutorial)

Hey, thanks for creating these tutorials. Also, thanks for letting me know which tutorial has an in depth look at creating paths. It would be really nice if you could put links to the tutorials you mention in this way in the description.

Awesome! Sometimes GIMP won't respond so I have to save my work and restart GIMP, then everything will work fine.. I think it's a bug in GIMP I hope developers will fix it soon

The drip path file isn't in the zip file as an SVG file. It just says "File". Should I add the SVG extension? I tried and it didn't import into my Gimp session.

After I unzipped I just added the .svg and it worked for me

This is not a good video, its not clear on how things work or how problems can be bypassed.
