    Excellent presentation. If I lived in Boxborough instead of Los Angeles you would be mounting and balancing the tires on all of my vehicles!

    Great video!! Nice to see an independent dealership so committed to providing their customers the best wheel/tire service possible!! So often dealers are so focused on selling the cars that they overlook the importance of providing top shelf service, but not AlphaCars!! It's no coincidence that a dealership so committed to providing the best service possible is doing so with the best technology in the market !! AlphaCars + Hunter = Satisfied Customers !

    Road Force balancing should be required at all tire shops, especially went mounting new tires.

    I didn't even know this existed until I had my new vette, with 20" and 22" wheels and had a slight shudder at speeds above 45... the RF balancing took away almost all of the shudder, the other component was the tires themselves, so I am upgrading the tires and this should rectify the issue.. learn something new everyday! Thanks for the video..

    FYI, your Hunter tire machine is made in Italy. Not sure of the balancer, but the Revolution is definitely an Italian machine. Look at the model label.

      The Hunter Revolution is 100% designed, engineered and manufactured by Hunter in the USA. All Hunter balancers are also made in the USA. The other Hunter tire changers (TC/TCX and Auto34) are made in Italy.

    Outstanding video! Thanks for posting it. You mentioned that these were new tires. Assuming that the problem is the tire, at what point would you recommend that the customer have the tire replaced by the manufacturer? Also, do you find that some tire brands are better than others in this regard? If so, which ones? Thanks again!

    Nice explanation!! Except for the half millimeter part LOL That would be 0.0196" where as a 1/16" would be 0.063"

    The only thing I disagree with here in the balance. SmartWeight is a way to "dumb" down the balance to get it "good enough" so you don't chace weights. When they say in the video that the tire is "perfectly balanced", it isn't. It is just good enough to save weights, etc. A perfect dynamic balance involves weights on both planes, end of story. It is NOT zero balanced in the video, you can clearly see in the SmartWeight chart that there is leftover imbalance. Hunter wants you to believe this is the best way to balance, it isn't.

      Very accurate, I work at a Mercedes shop and we have smart weight disabled. Lead wheel weights are also mentioned while I’m not sure about the entire USA, majority of the states outlawed lead weights due to pollution concerns.

    So what if I had my car road forced balanced twice and it still vibrates? and 2 dealers say the car is fine. Asking for a friend.

      I had the same issue with my vehicle and it turns out that the CV axles were bad. People don't realize how many parts are rotating when a vehicle is moving. If the wheels and tires have been checked multiple times and the vibration still exists, its time to start looking at other rotating parts of the drivetrain.

    What if the RoadForce canot be dropped by Force Matching to under 20lb (Toyota Venza is my case with 1 tire 2456517 with an issue) and dealer says is acceptable within the specs but vibrations still present...tire should be replaced because is defective, correct?

    • @AlphaCars
      @AlphaCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alex, ideally for a sports car or smaller vehicle we make sure that the road force is no greater than 6lbs. For a Venza, we would suspect you would be a little bit higher than that. 20lb would be excessive even for a pickup or light truck.

    great video first off. the fact that you put so much care for your customers is very impressive. however there is quite a bit of misconstrued and false info here. im more impressed with your effort and the amount of money your willing to spend on wheel service equipment. im am not impressed with the actual equipment or the bs that hunter has fed you with the equipment. the tire machine isnt anything special and is incredibly slow. the road force is 100% a gimmick and not a machine i wouldve purchased. you match mounted a tire which is available throughout many balancers. the weight savings is also bogus. the " ok...ok" doesnt mean the tire is perfectly balanced. more often than not your static measurement is low but your dynamic and couple imbalance are not great. i wouldve loved to see the actual imbalance left before vid ended. trust me you couldve done much better with your equipment purchase. 60k on equipment does not equal the best or make any of your technicians more skilled unfortunately.
