When this song was released I was a 13 years old girl and really liked it, now I am 32 and am a grown up woman. I fnally truly understand the meaning of this song, after I collected so much life experiences myself... it tears me up! How much I love this song, what a masterpiece!!!

For me the meaning of the song is, that even when you go through very tough times with your partner, when there is a serious love between you both, then each of you will try everything to keep fighting and figure it out. Somtimes you hate each other, still you want to be with each other. You often use your partner as a "punching bag" for your own personal emotions/problems, not realizing how much you might hurt him with that, because you think it should be natural for him to bear with it, but actually it isn't. It is a big privilege we get, it is a big sign of love. And after a fight, you sometimes just watch them doing daily things, like drinking "black coffee" and you realize again why you love them so much. Because they are still here with you drinking that coffee.

This song is pure gold and did not age a second. The girls are stunningly beautiful in this vid. Great footage. Perfect vocal harmonic performance, perfectly produced music and amazing conclusion with typical Orbit's reversed electronic drums combined with its famous echoes and beeps. William Orbit is a genius. Period. This is what professional electronic music mixing is about. This song will still be listened to in year 3062. Kudos and respect.

As far as i know they did very well in the western county's back in the 2000's being in the top 10 charts at number 1 in the UK, overrated not really ether nor did they get the popularity like Sugababes or spice girls but they did well in there time.

Amazing how you can hear the influence of 1990s electronic music, the likes of Portishead, and trip hop all in this. I dont think such a darkly lovely song could be a hit today.

I dearly miss 90's and early 2000's. Back then, all Saints - a brilliant one-of-a-kind group. I've always think that they have a classy combinations of voices and mtv that always pushing boundaries. They just believe in what they're doing with these dreamy, ethereal and thought provoking visuals in which perfectly fit their song like a glove; dare I say it.
Of course not, but we didn' t write about the quality of the song but about the production values/technical standards of the given era, which were pretty high. A lot of effort and money was invested into music and video production. Today the pop scene seems to be rather cheap in comparison.
This is one of the best vocal chorus ever made. I've been listening to it for over 2 decades and it ALWAYS give me goosebumps. It's a fabulous piece of harmony, Orbit hit gold with this.

William Orbit - You really need high-end loudspeakers to fully appreciate his production. The sub-bass glide @ 01:16 makes the walls of my house vibrate. (solid stone) Fucking genius.
This song was released more than 20 years ago. First time I heard it I was about 16. Now I'm 38 and 12 years married and it hits home like it never did before.
I was traveling around Australia in the fall(their spring) of 2000 and Quantas played this on the video screens when we were boarding. I was instantly hooked. Seriously good track, and the rest of the record is really good too. I'm getting total goosebumps listening to this for the first time in years.

Pull your headphone jack half out so you only get the base layer of audio, you'll be able to hear the lower half of the vocal harmonies on this song, they are absolutely stunning, gives the song a whole new feeling.
I love this song beyond words .. it is mesmerizing and so personal and different from other commercial love songs .. it speaks of what any person in love would secretly feel inside with out expressing to their significant others... LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
Besides the fact that this is a great song in itself, I also find its musical arrangement interesting for the content of very low frequency, including subsonic, sounds. You can best hear it, or better said, feel it if you have good woofers or subwoofers, which also makes the song one of my favorites for testing the quality of speakers. :)

Hell yes, Shaznay was like the definition of "female" to me back in the day, while at the same time Natalie being the defintion of sexyness to me personally.

I dearly miss 90's and early 2000's. Back then, all Saints - a brilliant one-of-a-kind group. I've always think that they have a classy combinations of voices and mtv that always pushing boundaries. They just believe in what they're doing with these dreamy, ethereal and thought provoking visuals in which perfectly fit their song like a glove; dare I say it.

Of course not, but we didn' t write about the quality of the song but about the production values/technical standards of the given era, which were pretty high. A lot of effort and money was invested into music and video production. Today the pop scene seems to be rather cheap in comparison.

Besides the fact that this is a great song in itself, I also find its musical arrangement interesting for the content of very low frequency, including subsonic, sounds. You can best hear it, or better said, feel it if you have good woofers or subwoofers, which also makes the song one of my favorites for testing the quality of speakers. :)
