Kamen Rider is a Japanese show spanning from 1971-present day. The show originated with three themes: Martial arts, motorcycle riding, and a grasshopper motif for the costume. The series went on through the Showa era(Ichigo-J), spawning tropes like the secondary rider, the ever-famous Rider Kick, and so on. The transformation device is almost always (Barring most auxiliary Kabuto riders, DiEnd, and all the Hibiki riders) a belt, sometimes with a second part located elsewhere. Tropes like the motorcycle, Secondary Rider, Rider Kick, continue to this day through the Heisei Era (Kuuga-Ghost), along with the new trope of an Ultimate Form. The Door Gun makes the same noise regardless of the Shift Car. Same with the Handle Sword. Neither have a reader.
