Just bought this hone and there are no videos in depth of set up and how the wheel under the crown works would love to see a full tutorial on set up and running a .010 oversize
@@nextgen1939 a couple shops around here run diamond stones bit they have the much newer machines. I rough bore almost everything so rarely have more than 5 thou or so to remove. Unless going 20-30 or 30-40.
@@serfilippiracing not too sure, but these Sunnens have proven they can last for decades and hone thousands of blocks. I have my doubts that a chinese knockoff would compare. Plus, if I ever need parts or support, it is readily available for these Sunnen machines.

How do you control the plunge speed, which in turn controls crosshatch angle?
There's belts in the head that you move onto different pulleys to change the speed
I use the tool to set my stones up with also. Do you ever use diamonds on your hone?
No, just the Sunnen UHM stones.
@@whiplashmachine I have a set of cores diamonds. You can hone out .020 in no time.

@@whiplashmachine The cv-616 can run diamonds pretty easy. I use the same honing head you have. The fixture is no different.
I am moving to a all diamond set up in February. I have a few new videos coming up this week. I think you will really like one of them.
