Rock bass was a favorite fish of my Dad to eat. I would always get a good stringer full in the local river. Dad would clean them and Mom would cook them with fried taters and corn on the cob. Good eats! Nice video brings back great memories. Thanks John!🙏 God bless

Agree with you on all your points! I especially like the way that you mentioned about sharing our Faith in God. I'll just ask you, point blank: Ain't God Good?!? I love being able to serve the Lord, although I've stumbled and fallen many times. I have to remember, though:When ya fall, don't stay down! Get back up, confess your sin, get it under the Blood of Jesus Christ, and get back to living for God! I love how that, even when we do fail, he doesn't give up on us, scorn and scoff at us, and walk away. He's there to pick us back up! What a Savior he is!

I've been getting my fishing vicariously as I'm laid-up with a back back. I have really enjoyed all your videos. So different from all the bass videos from expensive boats on huge lakes. I like the wild looking creeks and all the scenic views. In U.S. you have some many species of fish that take lures. In the UK we're restricted to about six main species. MK Oxford, England.

John you all have some good looking creeks to fish in up that way. I live in west central GA and the Flint river is about all we have to fish in. Most of the creeks around here are very small. I guess Big lazer creek is about as big of a creek there is close to me. Keep the video's coming I do enjoy watching.

I have always loved rock bass and I always will. Here in southeast VA we have a unique cousin to the rockie called the Roanoke Bass. Looks almost exactly the same but regularly grows to a pound or more. They are only found in this part of the world (and northeast NC) so we try to protect them as much as possible. We have a hard time however with the self-centered crowd constantly wanting to take them home to eat regardless of the regulations.

AGREED!!! 1,000%!!! Our friend, Brother John Dalton, has really come a long way, in being able to edit these videos to perfection, and I love it! Our Boy is definitely in the level of Professional...and yet, he stays very humble, friendly, and, best of all, Christ-like. That's why I became a subscriber. Anybody that's a True Christian gets my vote, support, and subscribership, any day! When you look around, and see all of these False Prophets in our Churches nowadays, that are only after what you have in your wallet, or your bank account, then you see this Christian Gentleman, that truly stands for Jesus, then you find out real quick, that this Brother is truly worth supporting.

Your lastest vids got me fishing last Thursday. 62 in north Jersey in February is plain weird but I’ll take it. Didn’t land a damn thing but a few fishes let me know they were there and it beat the hell outta stayin home all day. The creeks here aren’t as healthy as yours but they’re getting better. I wasn’t the only one out fishing either. I’m learning a lot from your vids. Got a small ready to go fishing bag for the creeks and a nice inexpensive ultralight rod and reel. Keeping it simple.
Love this video! Ya got in some great catches, and that Smallmouth Bass was a beaut! One thing I've never liked, though, is fishin' a Creek or a River, when you have to be so very careful around trees...or end up being your bait, or your lure, whatever the case may be. That's aggravating! Of course, I'm not telling you anything new, as I'm sure you've put up with that kind of mess enough in your life.
Love your Scripture, too. If we live in the way of the First Adam (That is, if we live Sinful, Carnal lives), then we won't see Heaven, but end up dying lost without God. However, if we live the way that the Second Adam (Jesus Christ) lived, and follow his example, we'll see Heaven, and live there, walking and talking with Jesus! I can only IMAGINE how much Praise is going to be going on there! I get blessed thinking about it. Forever with Jesus, our Savior and Lord!

I have caught alot of rockbass the last few weeks in the creek. Using alot of zman trd stuff bouncing the bottom. I caught a huge one last week that was 10 inches long and weighed 12 ozs. I haven't caught but a few bass though. If we could get decent weather without the rain it would help. I hope the creeks are back down Sunday for an after church trip. We had flooding here in NW AL yesterday. 👊👍

Ha, That intro is worth a Million Dollars. John, I've loved that since the beginning. Nice Small Mouth J...really healthy pretty fish in that creek. Those have got to be the biggest Rock Bass I've seen in one location like that. They are consistently large. I fish mostly salt now as I live in SWFL. But I came here from Kentucky so I've always enjoyed your creek fishing aadventures.

I know that you were talking to Brother John, but I read the Scripture Verse that you left for him. You tried blessing one Brother with a great Scripture Verse, such as this...and ended up blessing me, too! God love ya, my friend! God is so good, to give us his Word! This is really all that a person should need, in order to get through this life. It's hard enough out there, in this old sin-cursed World. When a person doesn't have God on their side, it makes their way through life a lot rougher. However...when a person does have Jesus Christ on their side, he oughta be shoutin' happy! Those of us that do have Jesus Christ on our side, know that Heaven's awaiting! Glory to God!

The crappie are just starting to turn up in the pre spawn spots

You talked about a couple species of fish, one of them being Crappie. I love catchin' those things! The only thing about it, is that they have such a thin membrane, mouth-wise, and ya have to be careful not to tear that because, if that's where your hook's at, you can lose a Crappie pretty quickly, by having the hook come completely out of their mouth!
You also mentioned Walleyes. Are they a good fighting fish? I've heard that they are, but that ya need a pair of needle-nosed pliers to get the hooks out of their mouth. Them, and Saugers, too. Oh-Let's not forget about Pickerel, Pike, and Muskie. Those things will tear your hand up, unless you know how to release them! Again, needle-nosed pliers, & also, a good set of leather gloves, sound like they'd be the order of the day!
Also: You mentioned headaches. I'm sincerely sorry to hear about you having to struggle with those. I hate neck aches, headaches, and Migraines. Ooofff!!! They hurt like the Dickens! That's about the time that ya just wanna be left alone, grab ya some pain reliever, and start healing up. Believe me, I'm right there with ya on that! Lately, seems like pain has become a semi-constant companion of mine, so, yeah... been there, done that, and still having to deal with it, the best that I can. You definitely have my sympathies, and, if ya want, I'll keep you in my prayers...and I mean that LITERALLY!!!

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
