the same postion as you end a round off, but letting you do a nice cool s/t (swingthrough). Its just what i thought xD thx for reading, and for making this helpful tutorial, that i think made me finally understand this move x3
@kurizu4444 thanks man. I agree, i really like the way mine looks but it takes more effort to get as much power out of it as when i go more over the top. Funny thing is, i've drilled it so much like it is, its hard not to do it now. So to gumbi more over the top i have to actually try to just cw.
I'm going to study the SHIT out of this, repeatedly attempt it and either suceed, or break something to the point where I psysically cannot continue trying.
Hey Mumm-Ra, i think i can actally do them, without that confusion you metion with a cartwheel, but after watching this a few times i thought, isnt a gumbi like starting in our case a left leading hand cartwheel, but instead you place your right while doing that raizy like torso-hip motion, which leaves you in the position of your opposite side cartwheel(dont know if you know what i mean xD) so once in that position, you have to continue a bit the turning motion so you end facing backwards,
hey man, nice tut, when i do this, i put my right hand infront of my left leg, then kick back with my left leg, and do like a backhand spring? when i do that, i have no power for st :(
I can do cartwheel and stuff so start like a cartwheel but turn your body earlier? That your coming down completely backwards right? I just want to point out what's the difference between a cartwheel and a gumbi, because I'm practising at the gumbi.
if i get my gumby better than i doing now i'll make video response , but still i cant feel that gumby motion, i have not bad s/t from it but is still more like c/w to oposite side, p.s yea understanding position of arms is hardest for me ;/
Thank you. Much easier than i thought. i dont feel power in the swing thru, but i can now gumbi both ways.
It helped me a lot from the first small clip. I saw that we had the exact same movements, thank you! :)
gosh thank you! this is exactly the kind of gumbi tut i was looking for!

@kurizu4444
why would i love that? and how exaclty did you change it? by doing ct gumbi? or just more over the top? have you seen mine?

one handed gumbi is a touch down raiz
@narutodamp then it wouldn't be a gumbi anymore, it would be TD raiz.
GRACIAS ! me re ayudo.
cool tutorial
good tutorial
Fundamentally, gumbi seems so similar to cartwheel. Is the main application just that they're easier to swingthru for a combo than cartwheels are?
ive been trying gumbi for ages... untill u said the right hand left leg thing i got it lol
great video no disagreements I wana challenge you to a mma fight tho :)
frankintine likes your gumbi
