Nobody seems to be able to identify the dancing tune: it´s the old Bergamasca from the late16thC, known from many Versions by Uccellini, Zanetti, van den Hove, Scheidt, Holborne, J.S.bach and many others ! One should ask whether this tune lived still among the Northern Italy Folks or whether it´s found an sheet Music editions !
I think it's called a set dance. In a circle, a sequence of figures is done. The figures, and the order of their doing, has to be memorized. Social dancing Schottische is lead-follow, and may be as varied as the lead has tricks he can lead and she can follow.
Scottische is the name of the dance, not of the music. Their dancestyle is really traditional and choreographed. I like the modern folk version of this dance much more. The interaction between the two dancers is much more pronounced than in such a choreographed version.
@schaduwgestalte I agree that this dancestyle is very choreographed, but I don't think choreographed dance is traditional. The „modern“ folk not choreograped version is the most traditional in my opinion.
The dance demos on this channel are excellent, clearly shown and the long musical intro is very useful to get the pace and the melody in mind.

Hola me gusto mucho un joven alto que sonreía cuando baila, se nota que le gusta . Felicitaciones.
Belle chorégraphie. La musique est la Scottish des Landes (Sud-Ouest de la France), air traditionnel

This is schottisch, a kind of polka.

@ Koen Rutten: Right. The dance is a kind of Schottische, but the music is not a Schottische at all.
No Brasil influenciou o estilo XOTE.
