Losi mentions in the video to have a landing ramp and not to jump it to flat. Treat it like a real dirtbike and it will last. If you land to flat on a real dirtbike you're going to bend and break spokes, the frame, the riser, and the bones in your body. There is a reason we use downslopes on every Motocross track except for Step-ups. I have been racing Motocross since i was 6 years old. Every time i broke my bike was landing to flat and cased it. I also broke my ankles, wrists and collar bone many times. Treat the Promoto MX like a real dirtbike you will have less of a chance of breaking it. Just pretend you're on the bike and ask yourself would you do that? Nevermind, some of yall are just crazy and would do it. 😂😂
Kind of hard to judge throttle to jump ramp to ramp to hit a down slop is kinda hard without depth perception would need a lot of run time to get that down in this
People need to understand, Losi's products ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR BASHING. Losi designs SCALE/RACING RCs. I'm going to get this when it's readily available hopefully this fall, a perfect time to be outside running RCs.
You can bash Losi products just don't be stupid about it. Push any RC to limit and most will break. Drive a Losi RC hard in it's intended environment and it will stand up to it as good as any brand. I have become a big fan of Losi after emptying too much $$$ on the cheaper Arrma rigs.

Great to hear you haven't run into heat issues, even with running in the grass. That was my concern as there aren't any fans and it's got a very tight package with regard to the motor placement. Agreed with the tires issue too - one of the biggest problems with a hot seller like the Promoto is spare parts are practically impossible to get, and the rollout of Proline's tires and wheels has been slow to say the least.
I preordered the green one on release day and there's not even a peep about it shipping any time soon. Looking forward to running mine next year! 😆

I got mine already, a handful of runs. It is a totally different experience, look, feel etc. So far no issues with it. Took a bit to learn how to drive it, I had to just remember oh yeah it’s like riding a motorcycle.
First initial thoughts are it seems decently made, more stable then I thought it would be. Did some wheelies and on the grass a bit, small jumps so far. Picking it up with flywheel spun up it’s hard to move side to side.
That gryo/flywheeel takes forever to spin down if you just turn it off without turning the flywheel off first, I actually like the sound, kinda like some cyberpunk future bike sound or a tiny turbine. Front Brakes can endo, at slow speeds it would be cool if the side training wheels or whatever were automatic, like it was standing for a light or something. Even cooler in v2.0 the riders legs come down to stable the bike at a stop, do tricks in the air, lean into turns… dirt sidecar racing, hmmhmmmmmmmmmmmm ideas….
In all I’m pretty happy with it, price is high but I feel like I got a new thing vs ad nauseam re-released this and that… glad my LHR got my order in before the ongoing IT disaster over at Horizon, what is happening over there?!?
I feel bad for anyone trying to order stuff now :-/

Thanks for the video. Which 2S 5000 LiPo batteries are compatible with this RC? Someone said it can’t really use batteries with the balance leads due to spacing issues in the battery compartment. Please advise ASAP. Thank you.

Which mode are you in on the jumps? Do you just hold the trigger at the top of the ramp or do you just let off the trigger like on a RC car at the top of the ramp?

Yes there's no doubt the losi bike is the coolest thing, and I am looking forward to seeing it at my local at some point..... Goodness knows when 🤔 and I also agree with the Arrma thing like they discontinued the EXB Mojave so I thought something was coming real soon but nothing as yet... a new 6s senton would be nice... Lol I'm sure there's a lot of ppl with many different ideas... We shall see. But a great vid Jaytee as usual bro ❤
A new Arrma 1/5th scale EXB Monster Truck is coming out with an actual 7075 aluminum chassis and shock towers, not the fake 7075 aluminum they use on their EXBs and stamp it 7075.

This battery comes with a Deans T plug Losi Mx motorcycle has ic5 plug but a ec5 would work in it I need an adapter that would go from deans t plug to ec5 plug plus I would need it for recharging this battery Zeee battery 8000 mah do they make one to match ec5 / ic5

Lol,my rear tire is a slick after about 10 runs,and everything they offer for hop ups,including tires,is backordered.i guess it is what it is until my parts come in.im running zeee 5200mah 80c,and a 12 minute run puts my packs right at storage voltage. absolutely love the bike though! For what you get,the price is good,and its plenty durable for most people,except for the guys that treat there rc's like Kevin talbot!!! Lol,he definitely puts the stuff through the ringer!

I can’t wait to get mine that’s on pre order here in Australia. I think Losi drastically underestimated how many people would want it, and now they will need to make massive amounts of bikes and parts to keep up with demand. I must admit I’m surprised myself how fast the word has spread across social media.

They ordered more than any other release before and sold 4-5x more than anticipated so i dont really know what else they could do.
Price point, supply issue, they released a statement saying you will be waiting. And part supply issues.
Waiting on my pre order. Horizon switching over there computer systems when releasing a new bike wasn't very smart. There is simply no common sense anymore in this here world we live in. It will be winter when the green ones ship.

Made for 1:8 scale RC dirt tracks is my understanding. Pretty big jumps BUT with a downslope landing.
Eight feet is huge jump! I just found out about this bike and am really kicking around the idea of getting one. 12 minutes of run time is amazing. I’d like to hear about the tires and how much they are going to cost. Man a few of us are talking flat track race.

What I saw with the first race that had 6 or 7 bikes was everybody except for one guy was trying to race them like a buggy. You can't do that, this vehicle has to be raced with a lot of finesse & thought along. With patience. Turn guys will be working more because 2 wheels will fall more than a car. Losi hit a grandslam with this bike. More people need to start adjusting the slip clutch to keep front end from coming up all the time & that will be a fine balance.
People are wanting more speed before they perfect driving, I will take less power & know how to drive than to have more power & not be able to control the bike. You better work on getting better turning & consistent run times. I think tracks will have to be adjusted to accommodate these bikes, either wider turns, short or long jumps. What ever it takes to make it happen. As for 10 bikes in a heat will depend on the track & when they all go into a turn together will be total chaos for driver & more so for the person setting bikes back up again. I'm sure losi is working on a dedicated street bike which will, I believe will have more more success.
The road bikes in Japan, Italy race pretty hard. So there's a lot to think about & this was my thought. Still waiting on mine.
Still waiting on my Promoto as well. I want to see a 1/7 rally car based off the Felony/Infraction chassis.
I want a Rally based off the Mojave/Fireteam chassis BiG, and the controversial but Always Fun eBrake.

Hey man, nice vid! I love mine and have been getting 13-20 mins on the gen one spektrum 5000mah.
Drive it down to cutoff, let the battery rest for 30 mins then measure the voltage. It should be in the 3.5-3.55v per cell. Once charged back up you should be seeing 90+% mah used from the battery.
If not, then the mah or c rating of your pack is fabricated, or the internal chemistry is poor quality.
I love watching videos of this bike! what if they had a street bike version tuned and geared more for track racing, released simultaneously with the dirt bike? I would guess the street bike would be more popular. I’d also be curious which style of bike would be more prone to breaking? The dirt bike would be jumped off ramps more but also driven on softer surfaces. The street bike wouldn’t be jumped but high speed collisions on hard surfaces would be more common
Proline has street tires for it. Don’t think they are at Horizon or hobby shops yet. I saw them on the Proline YT channel.

I think axial did a mass production of the early bronco and it didn't sell as well they thought because of price. Then a month ago they did a massive sale on them to reduce stock.Losi may have thought the same thing.

I noticed Horizon updated the website with all the upgrade parts back up but everything Pro Moto is on back order as of right now. What are the chances of Arrma developing something similar but more for bashing and less scale realism? I say that bc Arrma released the fireteam and Losi then released a scale version of what the fireteam is. My guess is Arrma is working on some revisions of existing models they have already created such as the Felony.
Yea I doubt arrmas makin anything with 2 wheels. At least for the foreseeable future
@@V8chump yeah that’s why I think they are more than likely focusing on re-visions with platforms they have already created. Be cool if they brought us a 5th scale road car though.

In follow-up, my blue “bike” shows up my doorstep with no notice yesterday. No ship notice no draft from my account, it just appeared. This is one HH cancelled and made me reorder and get at end of line. So, Idk, if you ordered a blue one, you might still get one. I ordered this one on 27 of June and reordered on the 7th of July. I have been waiting for my pre-order since last month. I haven't received any information, not eta or anything. Usually, they give us an ETA or let us know something. They dropped the ball on this one. They should have known it was going to be popular and sell out. A dirtbike from a major manufacturer is all people needed to know and they would have ordered it. Every other RC bike has been from cheap sketchy Chinese companies. I mean heck the real toyish radio shack Ricky Carmichael bike sold millions in the first week. I expected better from Horison and Losi on Pre Orders, I thought they learned their lesson. The last time it was this bad was when they released the original Mini T. Oh well, the one good this is that we will eventually get it someday. 😂😂

Its so crazy that some people are believing they “didn’t expect to sell that much” , that excuse doesnt work if shops only got a handful lol, cars with less demand have more inventory. It feels like they just wanted people money first. Ive canceled my preorder.
Ive also heard they have issues with one of the big two shipping companies (politics) and the shipper they are using doesn’t like shipping lipos, that would explain the lack of green models. But it doesnt explain the lack of other models.
One thing no one is talking about is the battery situation. The only batteries that fit are spektrum g2. You cant shove the balance lead anywhere. Very frustrating when you no G2 decent chargers are in stock. Total BS

It's what I'm talking about, people don't pay for nothing. That's what they talk like this. He said hes gonna reach out to z batteries instead of buying the battery on Amazon. Why would you reach out when you can buy it? I don't know.
First off I have tons of batteries so why would I sit up here and pay for more? Secondly they may have a better battery for it that I may not know about and they may tell me. Lastly, I'm in partnership with a couple of companies so what difference does it make whether I pay for something or get something to review and show to you guys? It's so funny MANY other channels get stuff sent to them all the time but the minute I mention something like this everybody's ready to point the gun at me. 🤔

Horizon is junk and so is the promoto. Quality has gone in the toilet. Everything they aquire gets ruined.
I think the slipper clutch will be a problem…..if it’s slipping too much it’ll burn out for sure
