@sasukechidoree its because they use them for silence, pet doesnt do much dmg anyhow so its the only thing they use em for. unless they are demo specc then the story is another

ok let's say that what you say is true. However, Mage still has choices to whether shatter after stealing nether ward or not. It's not quick choice you have to make. He can just wait for right moment(nova+cs+ring) and if the locks pet is following mage then can just enter the ring and make it frozen too. And global cooldown being 1.5sec? really? it's not that long. It's 1 or less. and shatter means mages poping the 20-30%(i forgot the name of the buff and how much haste it gave) buff.
i play destro lock as well, but I know how mages work... Deep is not off cooldown so the effective time they can actually attack while you are stunned is about 3 secs, and again far worse for to take a full shatter than get a half assed frost bolt and thats the worst case scenario.
you have no idea too. if the mage is fire the 30% damage reduce will proc from his dots and living bomb, and if hes frost from water elemental if he doesnt stop the pets attack so what you say is worthless lol

Nether ward receives buff from damage you absorb. So i'm pretty sure that it'll proc from dot. Also, they just need to press the stop button. We locks do it. Is it hard for mages to press that button?

I can take on 2 people with no problem in Random BGs, they aren't organized (as aff or destro). But there's no doubt about the fact that taking on more than one person mathematically has to mean they are way less skilled than you. Three rogues at once is insane, no matter how terrible they are though. It's still not easy to do.
