Thank you so much! As a kid in the 1960's, I grew up in Oakland, just off Park Boulevard, and I remember going to Jack London Square many times. My grandparents lived only a few blocks from it. But not until later in life did I begin to read his books, and like you, he is one of my favorite authors. The novel of his that I enjoyed the most is "The Sea Wolf". Oh My God, what a story. Have you read it? If not, I would strongly recommend it. I just ordered this Pictorial Biography that you mentioned and can't wait to get it👍🏼 Thanks again for all of your content.
Thank you so much for your comment. I haven't read The Sea Wolf yet, but I will ask Santa for it this Christmas 😉 With time, I will definitely purchase all his books. I am so thrilled you ordered the Pictorial Biography I just showed in the video! I lived in the SF Bay Area for 15 years but only recently fell in love with Jack's writing so everytime I visit now I am on the hunt to discover his landmarks. Have you ever visited the Jack London Historical Park?
@@Uncommon_Reader No, I have not visited the Jack London Historical Park, but I would like to one day. I moved away from the Bay Area at about age 10 or so, to the American Midwest, and have only been back there a time or two. My wife and I travel a lot now that we are retired, and have given thought to driving up the Pacific Coast Highway some time. And when we do, we will definitely be close enough to stop there and visit. Regarding his novels, another favorite of mine is 'Martin Eden'..... very very good, and also very biographical I think. Thanks again👍🏼
@@Boxer309 The Pacific Coast Highway is definitely a must, I hope you and your wife get to enjoy it very soon. I loved Martin Eden and reading Jack's biography I was shocked at the many references with his life (although I think Jack's life is even more adventurous!)
Jack London is one of my favorites also! My favorite book of his is The Mutiny of the Elsinore.
Thank you Erick! I'll add that to my list. Jack has still many fans. So great to hear!
