I'm a Reds fan all day long ever since I saw them in Australia. But at RIAT, the Black Eagles smashed it out of the park.

Never seen an air show before, and out of the blue was confronted with Black Eagles. Now I’m hooked, and no other formation can beat them imo. Total package, I guess. Love the aerial painting like the Cupid and the Korean (flag) symbol. They’re like artists in the sky, like AERcrobatics 🥰

I think the reds are usually the best but this year at RIAT the Black Eagles were the class of the field. Very impressive stuff.

Both displays are excellent. I was there last year and did find the Reds perhaps lacking enthusiasm in the team which might have translated a bit to their display. All the pilots taking part are extremely accomplished and it takes an unbelievable amount of practice and skill to carry out even a basic aerobatic move. I always find it amusing to read comments by all the armchair experts. If you haven't flown a plane, go and have a go at a local flying club and you'll find how difficult it is to do.

I agree. Just flying in formation is difficult, let alone flying a full display in formation!

People are saying the black eagles, but I didn’t see them do anything that the red arrows didn’t do, both shows looked great.

Are reds are to basic now sorry to say some years back there manoeuvres were so more Dynamic even next year 2023 when there up to 9 some other display teams are a head of them the black eagles were very good many great changing shaped manoeuvres they did they deserve to win RIAT 2022 are Reds are great yes but thats it

Red arrows all the way the most aerobic team on the planet nothing can top the famous red white and blue smoke

1. thickness and length of smoke
Result : RedArrows > BlackEagles
RedArrows are thin and long.
However, BlackEagles' smokes quickly thicken and blend together.
2. the moment the smoke is cut
Result : RedArrows > BlackEagles
All RedArrows have the same timing.
However, BlackEagles have timing discrepancies in some aircraft.
3. Opposite Continuous Roll
Result : RedArrows > BlackEagles
RedArrows appear to collide.
However, BlackEagles do not look like they are about to collide.
4. south Korean flag
At that level, all teams in the world can do it.
The only reason other teams don't do it is because there is no circle on their flag.
