Such awesome, sweet justice for squirrels that most consider a nuisance to prevent or get rid of from their yards. Also beautiful proof of no reason not to and ability for humans - nature to co-habitate and actually all have a good time in learning from each other. So amazing there mate.
I've never really been into auto racing but honestly, this video helped me make sense of a lot of things I never really understood before. For example, needing to "choose the right direction on the track". I had no idea there were so many fine points that drivers need to get right to be competative.
I’m a new squirrel enthusiast from Calgary In Canada, I’ve just found your channel and I seriously can’t get enough of your squirrel courses😂 please keep updating! Keep squirrelling!!!
Very cute! Since the squirrels are going to eat the seeds anyways, why not have some fun watching them get to them!!!! Very creative! Loved the Narative!
Thank you for your lovely comments, much appreciated. It's early days but I've just begun making this year's course. I wonder if there's a big sporting event I might theme it on? ⚽️⚽️⚽️ 😀
@armadillo platypus Although the tone might seem harsh, you are right that the american grey squirrel pushes the indigenous red british squirrel (love those furry ears!). I live in Quebec, north of Montreal. The city has been completely colonised by the grey. The grey and the black (mainly from Ontario) are trying to invade our forest, pushing away the smaller indigenous red, the tiny chipmunk and the nocturnal flying squirrel. I personnaly use a slingshot and chickpeas with some success, scaring them out the yard while allowing the 3 indigenous species to eat at the birdfeeders. My small dog is trained to scare the grey and the black with better succes! I can't get myself to kill them but there is plenty of american cooking recipes to accomodate them. It's supposed to be quite good. Good hunting!
I would say you're having too much fun at squirrel courses, but I am here watching it. And I go like the "commentators you had in one of your other videos. I think yoi should keep using those. Too funny
The commentary is GREAT!! 😂 Definitely adds to the enjoyment! Awesome job on the courses too! I would love to construct something like this for the squirrels in my yard and on my feeders, but they would just focus their energy on stealing the food from the bird feeders instead!! Keep the great videos coming, they are truly enjoyed!! 🏁🌟🐿🌟🏁
Thank you. You should your own squirrel obstacle course a go. It never fails to make me smile when I see them on my courses, even if they cheat and miss out bits. It just means it's me who has to try harder!
@@SteveBarley yeah I might have to give it a go!! They are definitely entertaining little creatures! I'm sure they keep you on your toes. 🐿 How long/how many times does it take before they figure it out (roughly?) Well, I'm assuming it takes a little bit of extra work on those elaborate obstacles!!
👍 #4.6K+ Hello Steve, I have just stumbled across your channel via this video of the fabulous Squirrel formula 1 obstacle course. I too have learned as recently as last week at how clever Squirrels are at quickly figuring out where there are nuts and how to overcome any obstacle to get to them. ◕‿◕ I spent 5 days going back to film the Reds I stumbled upon after filming a Jay in woodland and turning around to see a Red Squirrel in my bag tearing a bag of peanuts open! Back to your obstacle course, I am now considering perhaps trying to set something up for a little fun, but nothing as advanced as your incredible experiment. I almost choked laughing at the officials doing their checks (the Wood Pigeon) and at the names etc. Thanks for the work put into this and sharing this as it was an incredible and most humorous watch. Have a great Christmas! 👍◕‿◕
Glad you like it and so pleased you are lucky enough to have red squirrels near you. Certainly have a go at an obstacle course yourself as the squirrel's antics are endlessly entertaining. Good luck, and thanks for your great feedback 🙂🐿️
The narrating is top notch. Please do this voice ironically or unironically when watching every day things. I would watch paint dry with that type of commentating.
Dude. The amount of work you actually put into this... Respect. This is that category of weird that is enjoyable and soothing.
The commentary as good as the squirrels. 👍
Everyone getting this on their recommended because of the Mark Rober video

Get in there Lewis! Miracles do happen mate!
Hilarious commentary! That track is a labor of love. Squirrel note: Who knew squirrels could jump so high!? (Sergio's illegal start at 0:40).
Everyone, everyone knows squirrels can jump that high 😆
Fantastic, mate. Gripping tension. We are holding our breath for the next event!
This is seriously one of the best things I’ve ever seen!!

Love a good race that ends in a photo finish. Well done Lewis!
The commentary was spot on LOL.
The amount of work you did on this is only surpassed by the final result of said work. Hilarious and well done.
I really appreciate your comment. It does take a lot of effort but I have such fun, and so do the squirrels.
@@SteveBarley Sounds like a great hobby then! I loved all of the puns along the track, had a good laugh from it.
Dude, this is stellar! Greetings, from the Jersey Shore ;)

We're cracking up! This is so fun.
Adorable. So clever. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
@armadillo platypus Actually Mr Platypus, squirrels, birds and humans coexist quite nicely in my neighbourhood. I wish you well. 🙂

You are Amazing !! Or else just really, really bored !! Either way,
I love it !!!
Probably the latter, but the squirrels are never boring!
So cute! Reminds me of my pet squirrel I had, who used to come very fast and snatch nuts from my hand.
The commentary is GREAT!! 😂 Definitely adds to the enjoyment! Awesome job on the courses too! I demand to know how George Nutshell did.... or Alexander Acorn.
And "Sprint" the lone black squirrel!! 😜
this is so awesome! definitely want to see if anyone can beat my boy lewis 😤😤
We should petition to get Clarkson to do a race commentary. I bet he’d do it 😆
