This was absolutely gorgeous. I love how the video picked up literally immediately after First Encounters EP2, I love the visuals, the story, the details, the symbolism, the composition of every shot, and most importantly the music. Compared to the volume and explosiveness we got with What Do You Want! this is so much more grounded and just quieter and more contemplative, and feels like its something Enth would sing around the fire recounting their story during the end of the world (Also the visuals we got for the end of the world are beautifully haunting I need to throw that in there). I'm so excited for this album and all that it has to offer.

This is a song about endings. It’s so beautiful. I don’t think I can really describe what it makes me feel like. I love the parallelism between the three different stories (or maybe two). This has messages weaved so incredibly deep it’s amazing.

Okay I think I found what this makes me feel like. It's apathy. Not in a mean way, but the song feels like not knowing why you're doing what you're doing. It's knowing you did something good, but not feeling like it matters. It's shrugging your shoulders in the face of absolute defeat. It's enjoying something, wanting it, protecting it, and yet feeling nothing for it. It's not knowing who you are anymore.

heres my theory- 3 songs have chronological order- It goes- Flares Surface A Drowning Cry - you know the one line in surface that goes ‘and drowning out the rest’ referencing a drowning cry. so when they were hallucinating a monster, the other one that wasnt heard A DROWNING CRY. SEE
I also love how some of the words tie together some of the different songs, like surface: "They're shooting flares in the distance" (possible reference to flares and the world ending) and "the radios went out" (also a possible refence to the world ending)
Insanely emotional to listen to and watch. The guitars, the mixing, the lyrics, the 3/4 time signature all so damn emotional, I literally had goosebumps listening. So incredibly excited for the album
