Doesn’t sound as good as your ToneX Satch demo 2, but still some nice tones for sure. It’s weird because amps aren’t really good but IR and effects are good. Maybe pairing a NAM pedal with a FM3 would be the killer solution
@ had the AxefxIII for nearly 6 years and it was a great unit, especially for FX, but found that the amps had something lacking in mid range compared to real ones, that made me try ToneX and later NAM :) But FAS is a great company, they offer continus updates, totally free, and they keep improving their product line with latest and greatest DSP available. The only thing I want them to do is offering NAM support in next Axefx product. It wouldn’t be that hard for them as Axefx has a very powerful DSP and is the most expensive digital amp available, do they can do anything they want as it’s made for pro users. FM3 is sounding differently. I tried them both with same FW gen and was surprised I liked the feel of FM3 a little better. I attribute that to FM3 always high impedance imput and a little more aliasing, that introduced more « ooomph » in the sound, and globally more saturation, but I’m not totally sure that can be anything else… ToneX was very disappointing at first, found the stock profile thin and harsh. But one later I tried again to understand the hype and made my own captures. And OMG I was blown away, it was really better than my kemper (I always had too!) Quad Cortex in opposite is adding gain and harshness, very high pitch presence I was always obliged to cut with LPF… but never sounded like the real amp in my experiences, always that digital fizz… NAM plugin is the best definitely, especially the Slammin Mofo’s ToneHunt models, « hyperacurracy » very cpu intensive but god they sound good!
Great device..... i have it........ Great CHANNEL
Many thanks!
Love these tones mate!! A newbie question: Do you suggest connecting my FM3 through an audio card or not? Keep it up:)
Hey mate, thanks! Yes, using an audio interface. Cheers
